Reflections Program
Deadlines for submission is Monday, November 16th. This year all submissions will be done virtually – those that are selected to move forward may be required to submit hard copies at a later date. 
Please read carefully as there are new rules this year: 
  • Theme for this year is “I matter because…” A video can be found here with more information about the theme: https://youtu.be/7CVcoU228-M 
  • Only visual art (no 3D), photography, video production, and music production will be accepted this year.  
  • All entries must include completed Student Entry Form and an electronic file of the submission. For each type of submission, the details on size of the work and file format can be found here: https://www.hccptaptsa.org/reflections_1 
  • We will continue with our tradition of having Lutz Prep Awards – but those will also be done virtually. In lieu of our traditional breakfast/awards ceremony we will be awarding cash prizes!!!! 
  • Remember the deadline is November 16th – please email Melissa Messer with any question.

PTA General Assembly Meeting - Rescheduled Date
 

1st Quarter Report Cards - Online for All Grades 

  • Middle School Report Cards will be available for online viewing beginning Thurs 11/12/20
  • Elementary Report Cards will be available for online viewing beginning Mon 11/16/20

Families can access the report cards website two ways:

  1. Students can access their own report cards by logging in with their user ID and password:  
    User ID is 7 digit student number (ex 1234567) and password is birthmonthdayyear (ex 01152011 for Jan 15, 2011)
  2. If a student cannot access the report card for a parent/guardian, a PIN can be requested by selecting "Request a PIN" on the report cards website. A PIN can be sent to the email address or mobile phone number of a parent/guardian in the Student Information System (listed on the student’s emergency card).
English Language Learner (ELL) Parent Involvement PLC
On Tuesday, November 17, from 8:30AM to 9:00AM via Zoom, Lutz Prep will provide parents of ELL students with an opportunity to review ELL accommodations and ask questions concerning ELL program services. Zoom info: Meeting ID: 994 0525 8420 Passcode: 466893

***Parents of ELL students are not required to attend but are encouraged to participate in the meeting should they have questions or concerns about the ELL program or the services provided to their student.  Please contact Dulcy Dillinger (Dulcy.Dillinger@lutzprep.org) with any questions.

Wednesday, November 18th

Our next early release day of the school year is Wednesday, November 18th our school hours are 8:00 AM - 12:00 PM. 

Our standard staggered dismissal will run with the same process as it does on a full school day.

  • 11:30-12:00 --- 1st round dismissal (green stickers on car tags)
  • 12:00-12:30 --- 2nd round dismissal

After care is available to those who are pre-registered.

OR Students May Donate $6 

Please read carefully, this is NOT AN ALL STUDENT dress down day

Homeroom teachers will be given rosters to validate those students who were awarded this non-uniform day.  

Additional Students May Still Participate!
Any student(s) still wishing to participate in this non-uniform day can turn in their donation of $6.00 to their teacher on Wednesday, November 18th.  Funds will apply to Bolts of Blue Campaign.

Leader in Me Monthly Family Activity for November
We are so excited to get to partner with you as we focus on building resiliency through LIM! Each month your family will receive a new optional activity that supports the monthly LIM focus. 
 
November's focus is health and safety. Please see the information below to assist you in choosing which activity you wish to participate in! 
Activities are due on NOVEMBER 30th. 
 
Our school wide goal is to have 70% of families participating in our monthly LIM family activities. Each class is striving to have at least 10 student's families participate. Will you help your students' class and our school reach our goal???
 
Your student can earn a SPECIAL DRESS UP DAY pass with a completed participation submission via email.  This month dress up theme: UGLY SWEATER (December 7th)
 
We can't wait to see the health and safety plan your family develops! Reminder: Activities are due to LIMfamilyteam@lutzprep.org on MONDAY, NOVEMBER 30th.

IMPORTANT INFORMATION REGARDING REPORTING A COVID DIAGNOSIS
If your child tests positive for COVID-19 we are requesting that parents immediately report this to the school via the following online form (even overnight and/or weekends).This will allow our step-by-step mitigation process to begin with contact tracing and notification to all students/staff that may have been potentially exposed.  Thank you for your partnership in helping us keep all of our students and staff healthy.
