Greetings on this lucky for some Flashback Friday 13th of November 2020. I trust that all who are reading this are well in their iSOULated zones. This time last week the world was in anticipation of the USA presidential elect results, and now we know despite lots of speculative Prince 'Controversy', that Donald got Trump'd, and 'Sleepy' Joe said Biden (bye then), as he became the 46th president elected for the USA. Like Captain Sensible' Glad It's All Over' and we await to see what the next 4 years bring under a Democratic administration.
Amongst the other world wide reported news of the availability of a vaccine for COVID, the local news here in the UK is dominated by the fact that after 22 years, Scotland's National football team made it through to next years rescheduled Euro Championship. I watched the game and the penalty shoot out which was very engaging, however when I saw the last Serbian penalty takers short run up, I knew he would miss. So well done Scotland, the traditional bagpipes and haggis will probably like Carlsberg, be part of the national celebration, especially during this lock down period. The late Sir Sean Connery would have been filled with pride.
I've been busy this week with interviews for issue 89 speaking with Calvin Francis and Tony Matthews who are both headlined DJs at The Great Yarmouth Soul Weekender next May 2021. Both have very interesting stories to share, so my fingers will be tapping the keyboard like a woodpecker on a tree.
For those who missed it here below is the link to last weekends show on OSSR. I'll be back this Sunday 8pm-10pm so please tune in via https://oursalsasoul.com
