Check out Centrala's online activities for November.
Gallery & Cafe Opening times:
Due to the announcement of a second lockdown Centrala is temporarily closed.
Dear friends of Centrala,
Don’t let lockdown get you down, we’re going to continue to work for the arts and to promote Central & Eastern European culture and heritage throughout this difficult period.
We’ve finished installing an exhibition of the Finnish art collective Valmed Ry. Whilst you can’t actually come and visit our space at the moment, it will be available to view online very soon. You can also watch Malgorzata Dawidek's 'Notations' exhibition on our youtube now. An alternative to Saturday's evening with Netflix?
We’re hosting a series of public health awareness information sessions in different Central & Eastern European (CEE) languages. This includes ‘Life under Covid’, ‘Food and wellbeing’ and a Modern Day Slavery awareness session. Click here for a full list of these and please share it with your friends, neighbours, groups you are in contact with - it’s important that we spread the word.
Have you tried our CEE recipes, such as the tasty Bulgarian soup or our Polish potato pancakes? We invite you to try out all the recipes we prepared over the previous lockdown and tag our page Polish Expats Association with a hashtag #CEEfood and a photo of your sumptuous finished product.
See below for our full schedule this month. Keep safe, keep well!
Centrala presents 'Allterations' - an exhibition by new-media art collective Valmed ry based in Finland. The show is going to be presented via our online channels soon.
A cultural celebration of Andrzejki - St Andrew’s Day! Make this Saturday a day for a lockdown party! Join us for a fun LIVE DJ set and prepare to have our witch tell your wax dripping fortunes!
