Virtual Bookfair
The Scholastic book fair is open and ready for orders. If you order items other than books, there will be shipping charged on everything. My suggestion is to order books ($25) and get the free shipping. If ordering other items, make that a separate order. Parent Teacher Conferences
Reminder: There is no school on Veteran's Day, Wednesday, November 11. This is a reminder of two upcoming half days with early dismissal at 12 p.m. each day on Monday, November 23 and Tuesday, November 24 for the purpose of conducting Parent-Teacher Conferences. Food Pantry
The Heuvelton School Food Pantry will be open this Thursday, November 19th from 3:15 - 4:45 p.m.
Please do not arrive early as school is in session. If you can't make it at this time, or ever need emergency food assistance, call the Main Office and we will arrange to meet you at another time.
For social distancing, please limit visitors to only one (1) representative from each household. Other family members should wait in their cars or outside away from others.
All patrons and volunteers must wear face coverings/ Hand sanitizer and disposable gloves will be available.

Elementary Yearbook Help
Heuvelton Elementary Yearbook is always looking for your help, especially if you are the parent of a remote. We need pictures of students doing work from home. Send pictures of students and their work space, students zooming with teachers, students working on lessons.
Heuvelton Elementary yearbooks are on sale for $15 dollars until the end of December. Get your order in early to avoid the late fee and higher price.

Our music teather, Katelyn Cross, has put together audio recordings of our elementary chorus, grades 4-6. These are a mix of pieces, some Fall/Halloween themed and two patriotic. Blake Collier
Mrs. Bush: When I couldn't give a student immediate help, Blake asked if he could use my dry erase board to try to teach/help the student out. He did a very nice job helping the student learn and understand. Afterwards, the student made a point to tell me how much he appreciated Blake's help.
Drew Blevins
Mrs. Curry: Drew does an outstanding job in P.E. class by completing Google classroom assignments accurately & on time, being cooperative, respectful and kind to others. He shows excellent participation and is a role model for
students.

Weston Bouchey
Ms. Bates: Weston displayed the week’s character trait of “Being Present & Giving Others My Attention”. Last week, Weston worked hard to be present and paid attention in each of his classes.
Dylan Carpenter
Mrs. Curry: Dylan has done an excellent job completing all his P.E. google classroom assignments accurately and on time. He consistently follows school rules of being responsible, respectful and safe in class and participates enthusiastically in P.E. He is a great role model and a joy to have in class.
Elsie King
Mrs. Bush: Her peers have given her many "Shout Outs” for portraying the character trait of Open Mindedness. They state that Elsie is a great listener and she never judges them.
Asa Douglass
Mrs. Curry: Asa has done an excellent job completing all his P.E. google classroom assignments accurately and on time. He participates enthusiastically in P.E., is respectful, responsible and safe. Asa is a great role model and a joy to have in class.
Addison Havens
Ms. Bates: Addison displayed creativity during a narrative writing activity. Her fictional narrative was wildly imaginative and well planned.
Chorus & Band Recordings
Our choruses and bands have been working on some patriotic songs to honor our military and veterans. This was our first attempt to make “virtual chorus and band”
Each student recorded separately, then Mrs. Baldwin and the students mixed them together, to create the end result.

Our NJHS selection process and induction ceremony from last spring was postponed due to Covid 19. This week we held two small group inductions, one for the Monday/Tuesday students this past Monday and one again today for our Wednesday/Thursday students who were selected for induction to NJHS. The two fully remote students selected for induction to NJHS were mailed home their membership certificates and they will participate in NJHS meetings on google meets this year.
