The governor has issued new restrictions on indoor and outdoor gatherings, so this Sunday may be the final outdoor worship service, as it has been, until that mandate is lifted.  For Sunday, masking and distancing are more important than ever as cases are on the rise.  This Sunday the 10am service will be also live-streamed via Facebook, YouTube, and it will be available on the church webpage fpcwinc.org/virtual.  If you miss seeing it live, it will still be available following the service

CHRISMAS EVE PARTICIPATION
There will be a virtual Family-oriented Christmas Eve Service and we will need lots of Children's involvement, most of which can be done at your house.  If a child would like to be involved as a reader, as part of a virtual choir, playing a Christmas hymn on their instrument, having their photograph taken to be assembled to tell the Christmas story in a "Spotlight VBS" style, or as part of a little drama, contact Todd@fpcwinc.org.  We are creating a service based on the indications of child involvement.

This Sunday is "Giving Sunday" when families are encouraged not only to make their financial pledge for 2021, but also to think about how they can use their time, talent, and treasure to serve God.  Find a time over the next week to have a conversation with your child (or multiple short ones) about what stewardship can look like for children.  I LOVE the graphic above that breaks this down into 8 categories.  Click here to see an explanation of each way kids can be a good steward of all their blessings!

Make a THANKFUL Pumpkin in November

I shared this idea last week but wanted to keep it in front of families cause it's a great one: Get a pumpkin.  Each day for the rest of the month, have all members of your family write something on it that they are thankful for.  Watch your pumpkin become covered with many blessings in your life.  Keep it in a central location so everyone in the family will notice new additions and remember to add one each day.  With lots of focus lately on what isn't.........let's focus on all the good we have to celebrate!

How is Advent 16 days away???  But it's OK, FPC has some awesome things to share with you to make this Advent and Christmas a very special one!!!

Pickup this physical resource this Sunday or on 11/22 at the Outdoor Worship Service along with a kit created for each FPC family assembled by the Advent Team!
A fantastic, creative, and fun resource designed to help your family focus on Jesus and the reason for the season.  The D6 Family Advent Kit provides daily Scripture reading and short devotions about one of the names for Jesus. You will find a family activity for every day—whether it is playing a game, gathering old toys, or reading through Christmas cards.  You will also find a simple ornament to make together to remind you of the name of Jesus you studied that day.

BAKING AT HOME AS YOU REFLECT ON THE X-MAS STORY We will be making this resource available for families to use at any time during Advent.  It's an at-home family cookie baking night, complete with a short video segment to view as part of your family time!

We're creating a self-directed outdoor Christmas Scavenger Hunt, and seeking to challenge you to give, serve, pray, and grow through this important season of waiting for Christmas and celebrating that our Savior has come!!
