From Our Session & Deacons

Dear Congregation,

Remember when we were talking and praying about becoming a more welcoming church? How we dreamed about ways to increase our presence in our immediate community?

During the pandemic and as part of this initiative the session encouraged the deacons to look for a local ministry of mercy we could support. For many years Trinity has partnered with Skilton House Ministries in Philadelphia and their “Operation Brotherhood”, their annual food drive aimed at providing Thanksgiving dinners to needy families in the city and our region. Covid-19 has forced the cancellation of Operation Brotherhood and our Deacons have instead identified the Warminster Food Bank as a commendable ministry to
support with our gifts. Here’s one way to help people in need in our community.

The Warminster Food Bank has identified a list of items that are often needed but rarely donated. The specific items are the following:
  • Parmalat Milk UHT Milk.
  • Coffee
  • Canned Stews
  • Egg Noodles
  • Stewed Tomatoes
  • Cream Condensed Soups (Chicken/ Mushroom) those are mostly used in recipes as meal extenders.
  • Chunky Soups
  • Personal Care Items (Toothpaste, Bar Soap, Deodorants, etc.)

The Deacons are asking the Congregation to purchase and donate any of the
items listed above. They may be placed in the large box located in the Foyer
below the telephone (directly across from the Drinking Fountain).

Items will be collected through the end of November and delivered to the
Warminster Food Bank the first week of December.

For the Session & Deacons,
