To members and friends of Jubilee United Church:
 
Thank you for your participation in the conversations that the Executive Team has been offering over the past month.
 
At the Congregational Meeting in March the congregation agreed to begin the process to explore the hiring of a second minister. From early conversations prior to amalgamation there was always an idea that we would have two ministers who would help shepherd the ministry and mission of Jubilee United Church; we have not fulfilled that vision to this point. After the Congregational Meeting the Executive Team appointed a team who has been doing the work of preparing a Ministry Profile. 
 
A Ministry Profile is a document that is required by the Regional Council for us to consider our story (it used to be called a JNAC - Joint Needs Assessment). Because it is not an original Jubilee document, it does not use our congregational structure; what the profile does is looks at who we are as a congregation, what our goals are and what we need to achieve those goals.
 
Once the Ministry Profile Team had done a good deal of work on the document, they brought it to the Executive Team and suggested that there was other work that needed to be done prior to the profile coming to the congregation including looking at the vision and future of our congregation.
 
Therefore, the Executive Team decided to use a portion of the work that the Ministry Profile team had done in order to lead this other process. That’s why we chose to use the goals they had written to help us look at our vision and future. 

We would now like to ask you for some more information - all of the information we are receiving will lead us toward bringing to the congregation some type of document that outlines what we have heard. After that, the Ministry Profile may be brought to the congregation (all 35 pages of it).

For those who do not have access to email, we are mailing a copy of the survey to them. We are asking for your feedback to be received by November 18, 2020 - but we welcome it earlier!
