Grand Jete Studio of Dance

Proactive Plan Covid-19

GJD Parents & Guardians,

Grand Jete prides ourselves on continuing to do our part in protecting our families, students and staff during these unprecedented times. We have enforced Covid-19 protocols, cleaning procedures, along with social distancing within our classrooms so we are able to continue in person within our facility.

GJD WILL BE REQUIRING MASKS (AGE 4+) TO BE WORN IN ALL CLASSES DUE TO THE CURRENT RISE IN COVID CASES. WE FEEL THIS IS THE BEST DECISION TO KEEP OUR DANCERS, GYMNASTS AND STAFF SAFE.

If you have a health issue that prevents your from wearing a mask please contact our office to advise.

We do ask that you review our policies below as we continue to take preventative measures with the help of our staff. We ask that in part our parents also review the policies with their child.

Class viewing:
GJD allows a single parent in our lobby area for Creative Dance & Toddler Tumbling ONLY.  We ask that no additional siblings enter this area as we need to keep our lobby cleared for classes entering and exiting.

Lobby Rules:
- TEMPERATURE CHECKS  & SANITATION UPON ARRIVAL
- ABSOLUTELY NO OUTSIDE FOOD OR DRINK
- NO TOYS, CRAYONS, ECT.
- MASKS MUST BE WORN AT ALL TIMES
- SINGLE PARENTS MUST BE SEATED IF VIEWING CD OR TT CLASSES
- GJ CLASS EQUIPMENT CANNOT BE PLAYED WITH OR TOUCHED
- NO RUNNING, TUMBLING OR PLAYING
- SOCIAL DISTANCING IS REQUIRED
- STUDENTS MUST EXIT IMMEDIATELY AFTER CLASS

Parent Pickup:
Parents must come to the pick up area to pick up your child. Especially our youngest dancers and gymnasts. This is for the safety of your child and traffic entering and exiting the parking lot. Please arrive 5 minutes before the end of your child's class as classes are dismissed early for proper sanitation and cleaning procedures. No students should be walking through our lot to meet their parent in vehicles.
GJD PROACTIVE PLAN
As we continue to navigate the current state of our country we have come up with a proactive plan for Grand Jete with possible scenarios and future plans. At this time the future is unclear and our intention is to ensure all of our families and staff members are as prepared as possible.

What if there is a business shut down?
If there is another business shutdown we will continue all of our classes on zoom. Our class schedule will remain the same and students will log in to their specified links during their regularly scheduled classes with their instructors. Class would continue to progress just as they were in the studio. Monthly rates would remain the same.

What are your plans for recital?
We currently have our dates set aside at Zoellner Arts Center for an indoor performance. We will also schedule those same dates at an outdoor venue for an outdoor performance if needed.

Regardless if we are indoor or outdoor there will be a 2021 recital. Through COVID-19 we have learned and can properly prepare ourselves for our future events.

Please mark off June 21st-26th on your Calendar

What about Costumes?
We recently measured all of our students last week during our costume measurement week. We will hold onto those measurements for sizing and are prepared to do one of the following ideas.

Currently Costume Deposits have been postponed until February 1st until we have a better understanding of what our future may look like.

If there is an indoor performance at Zoellner Arts Center we will be ordering costumes as per usual through our vendors. If there is an outdoor performance we have decided to be more casual and will order required recital T-shirts for every single student. Performers will be required to wear black leggings to perform in.

Are you going to do another Parade?
This is a new tradition that we would love to continue to do from year to year to celebrate our recital weekend. We will plan to do a Grand Jete Strong parade for our indoor or outdoor performance. This was an exciting way to show your Grand Jete Spirit while we had fun giveaways, ribbons and handouts for the kids.
GJD WILL BE CLOSED.
Wednesday November 25th- November 30th for the holiday.
Classes will resume Tuesday December 1st.

There is an error on our yearly calendar and we will be closed Thanksgiving Eve
Regularly scheduled Zoom Classes are available for those who need to quarantine.
GJD will be offering our zoom track classes in lieu of makeup classes.

At this time we cannot allow in person makeups. This is so we are able to enforce our smaller class policy and restrictions.

Please notify the office so you are sent a zoom link for these classes.

This includes all dance and gymnastics classes.
GJD MASKS!!!

We have masks available to purchase for in class. Visit our back office to get yours today!

We love our Grand Jete Gear!
We want to thank you all again for your understanding as we are doing our very best to play an important role in preventing the spread of this virus. Many schools have decided to go remote/virtual until after the holiday season.

For many of our students our facility is their only outlet to see friends and continue to do what they love. It is important to us that we keep our doors open so we can continue to share our passions and give every individual the socialization they are currently lacking from in person learning within their education.

Together we are Grand Jete Strong and we thank you endlessly for your continued support.
