Cavs AGM and End-of-Year Social

Saturday, 12 December 2020
Cav's last fencing session for this year will be Saturday 12 December:
  • 1-3pm Fencing (all Cavs fencers)
  • 3-4pm AGM
  • 4pm + Social
Come and celebrate the end of 2020 at the Mt Lawley Bowls Club after the final fencing session. All fencers, junior and senior, and their families are welcome. Please let us know by 28 November if you're coming so we can make sure we book enough space.

Notice for Annual General Meeting
We'll be holding our AGM at 3pm on 12 December. It is very important that we have enough voting members (18+, with membership paid for the year or term 4) so that we can keep supporting our fencers through 2021 :).

You can read the club Constitution on our website.

The Club must elect the 2021 committee at the AGM, being four office holders as listed below and at least one ordinary member. All committee positions are open for nominations: please let us know before December the 12th if you are interested in self-nominating. Based on our Constitution, any positions with only one nominee by the start of the meeting can be elected without voting.

You do not have to be a fencer to help out! If you are not a fencer yourself but would like to help, you can join in 2021 as an Associate Member and volunteer.

Office Holders:
  • President
  • Vice-President
  • Secretary
  • Treasurer
We will also be calling for volunteers for other positions. An Ordinary Member on the Committee may hold one of these positions.
  • Coaching Coordinator
  • Registrar
  • Equipment Officer
  • Armourer
  • FWA Delegate
  • Social Secretary
  • Bladez Coordinator
  • Member Protection Officer
  • Tournament Officer
  • Communications/Web Officer

Hired Equipment
If you have hired equipment from Cavs, you'll need to return it (cleaned!) by the end of this year. But you can still come and fence on the 12th - you can return it the following week during the club Busy Bee that we'll be running at the venue on 19 December. Look out for more info coming soon.
