Greetings from the College of Engineering! Wow, so far 2020 has proven to be one of the more challenging years that many of us can remember! It's our hope that you and your families are staying safe and healthy.
Knowing this season of ambiguity and challenge will indeed pass, we continue to press on with optimism, working diligently to provide the best possible learning experience for our students.
Normally, at this time of year we invite you to campus to network with our current students, and to hire some of them for full time jobs and internships. But as you might expect, this year looks a little different. Due to COVID regulations, we're going virtual!
We know you may still be looking to hire an intern for the summer or to fill a full time position in Engineering or Computer Science and we have students ready and excited to meet with you online!
We hope you'll take this opportunity to register for our GFUVirtualWinter Expo now for the event Friday, November 13, 2020.
The fee for our virtual winter expo is $150. We normally haven't charged a fee for our face-to-face networking career expo, but since our students are having an unusual year we are compelled to try and offer the best possible online engagement, which necessitates contracting with a vendor that would insure a quality virtual experience for both you and them.
We have mechanical, electrical, civil, biomedical, and computer engineering students as well as computer science and information systems majors participating. When you register, we will send you a list of students attending the event and details on how to access their LinkedIn and online portfolios.
Seniors are looking for employment after graduation in early May. Juniors and Sophomores are looking for internships, preferably during the summer, early May through mid August.
To get you ready for our virtual expo please review the Employer's Guide and troubleshooting link below. These helpful guides will walk you through the new registration system and how to get the most out of our Virtual Expo.
