Every youth can belong.

Lunch & Connect for
our High School Youth

Who:    You and friends in grades 9-12.

What:   It's high school youth from COTS getting together.  And together is good when the reason we gather is Good.  Even when we're in our 6-foot bubbles.  Jesus began his ministry by inviting others to be with him. Let's try that. And as you'd guess from the name - we'll have lunch for you.
NOTE: You or your family may not be comfortable eating food prepared/served by others.  If that's the case, please feel free to bring your own.

   When:   THIS Sunday, November 8, 12:15 - 1:30 pm

Where:  Outside, but new location - meet in the Gaga Pit area - to the right of the car port (Reinberger) entrance.

Why:    Gathering for a good reason is good!  And the more we are together the better we can know each other and be known.  Let's keep meeting in person while we can still meet outside.

How:   Your choice! Either in-person next to the Gaga pit with patio heaters (if needed), masks, and socially distant OR by Zoom (click here!). If you're not feeling well, please join us by Zoom.

What to bring:  1) a camp or lawn chair or blanket or something to sit on, if you want
        2) Your Bible or a Bible App
        3) Your mask
        4) Your own lunch, if you prefer.

We highly recommend you dress in layers and bring work gloves if you want them.

Something to Think About...

Any election tension in your household?  America is split just about down the middle on who wants who in office.  That's not unusual.  What IS unusual, is the apparent strong dislike of the two halves for each other.  That's not the case for everyone, but WOW there's so much venom being spit that everyone's at risk of poisoning.  But how about this...

Above all, show sincere love to each other, because love brings about the forgiveness of many sins.
--- 1 Peter 4:8 (CEB)

Take a minute to talk with God about how your heart is doing - how you are feeling about yourself and others. What would it be like if the whole country was able to show sincere love to each other?  Even for a few minutes!  How does that start?  With each of us.  If you're not there yet - what would it take?  Pray about it.
