Are you ready to get back on campus?

This morning the State Public Charter School Authority voted to expand the percentage of students that would be allowed on campus at a given time. Under the new guidelines, it is now plausible for us to begin exploring opening blended learning to all grade levels K-8. We will be bringing a proposal to our Board of Directors at their November 12th Board Meeting to do just that. Of course, distance education will remain available for those that would like to remain online. While there are many details that will still have to be ironed out, here are the broad strokes, if approved:

1. Students that elect to attend in-person will attend half-day sessions (AM or PM) four days a week with asynchronous Wednesdays remaining in place.
2. Which teachers remain online and which move to in-person will be dictated generally by the demand for each modality in each classroom. Administration may make variances to this based on extenuating circumstances.
3. In-person instruction for grades 3-8 would not begin until after Fall Break to provide sufficient time to process course changes.
4. Students attending in-person are required to be in uniform.

We have put a button linking a survey that will allow an election for online or in-person to be made for each student. We ask that this form be completed for each student no later than November 11th to enable us to begin sorting data.
