Welcome     Pastor Cynthia Cochran-Carney

Reading       Morning Prayer read by Ralph Purdy

as long as we love
hate does not have a chance,
as long as we love
the forgotten will always have a family
as long as we love
fear’s dreams will turn to ashes
as long as we love

as long as we sing
despair will be turned into hope
as long as we sing
wonder will emerge from
clouds of worry and grief
as long as we sing
shouts of anger will drift away
as long as we sing

as long as we share
no one ever need hunger
as long as we share
the poor will receive support
as long as we share
those with no resumes will have jobs
as long as we share

as long as we pray
we will be transformed daily
as long as we pray
grace will fill our empty hearts
as long as we pray
we find strength to serve others
as long as we pray

as long as we act
injustice shall be tossed in the bin
as long as we act
cruelty will be made redundant
as long as we act
we can put an end to hate
as long as we act

God in Community, Holy in One
may we love
may we sing
may we share
may we pray
may we act
as long as we can. Amen

Closing Words
May the power of Christ lift us above despair.
May the energy of Christ move through our weariness.
May the peace of Christ settle our anxiety.
May the challenge of Christ raise our expectations.
May the grace of Christ assure us of mercy when we fall short.
May the love of Christ, greater than we could ask or imagine,
set us dancing into the future. Amen
