LAST JUDGMENT!
Our Lord in his Word always brings us back to his coming judgment! For sinners, this brings fear and worry. We know that we do not live up to what he desires. So many things vie for our attention and as we consider our lives, how often and much we have sinned against our God! Our Creator made us to serve him and to live to his glory. To keep him #1!!
But God reminds us of Judgment to not bring fear but to direct our eyes to him. He looks forward to one day bringing us from this world filled with trouble and tears to eternal life and paradise! In his Word, Christ reminds us of his love and gives us peace. He lifts our eyes to see that he goes with us! He is directing everything for our good since we are part of his family, faith-filled souls that know his will for them. In baptism, he put his name on us and dressed us for his Kingdom. Jesus wants us to always live, READY!! Ready to meet him, even in judgment! The reason we can be ready?? He died for us, rose for us, and gave us faith to know in him we are forgiven, holy in his sight, and live now as part of his Kingdom. We have HIS WORD!!
Come worship him that goes with you and has your eternal salvation in control! Start your week in worship of your God, ready to meet whatever this sinful world and Satan throws at you this week! Be filled with Jesus' peace! See you at the throne of your Savior in worship!!
Come meet with Jesus in worship. We worship together at 9:00 am on Sunday morning and Monday evening at 7:00 pm. Hope you can make it. If not, join us live at 9 am or check out the service later at

SUNDAY SCHOOL LESSONS
Sunday school lessons were again sent out to students connected to our church. The lesson sheets should be in the hands of the parents. Parents, you can find links to the lesson level for your child at www.mywels.com/SundaySchool
Sunday Bible Study - Psalm 90 - This Psalm of Moses which directs us to reflect on our days and look to our Creator and Redeemer.
In our Prayers
  • Audrey Carlson - is in the hospital. We ask the Lord to grant her strength and healing.
  • Family of Tony Klein - son-in-law of Dale & Patsy Wagner - a week ago he passed away suddenly. May the Lord be with the family in this time and direct their eyes to his Word of comfort.
Martin Luther's Seal Explained
  1. Black Cross – The first thing expressed in my seal is a cross, black, within the red heart to put me in mind that faith in Christ crucified saves us.
  2. Red Heart – Now, although the cross is black, shameful, and intended to cause pain, yet it does not change the color of the heart, does not destroy nature. In other words, it does not kill but keeps alive. "For the just shall live by faith" – by faith in the Savior.
  3. White Rose – But this heart is fixed on the center of a white rose to show that faith causes joy, comfort, and peace. The rose is white, not red, because white is the ideal color of all angels and blessed souls.
  4. Blue Sky – This rose, moreover, is fixed in a sky-colored background to show that such joy of faith in the spirit is but a promise and beginning of heavenly joy to come. This joy, though not yet revealed, is looked forward to and held by the hope which we have.
  5. Gold Circle – Around this background is a ring to show that such bliss in heaven is endless. And since the ring is made of gold, the best and most precious metal, it also shows that the bliss of heaven is more precious than all other joys and treasures.
WORSHIP.  We will again have worship at St. Peter's, Sunday, at 9:00 am and Monday at 7:00 pm. Communion will be offered at both services. We will be trying to go live at 9:00 am. Go here: www.youtube.com/c/stpetersmonticello

  • OFFERINGS - What a privilege that the Lord blesses us with so much, how can I not but give back to him of my first-fruits! Isn't it great to be a part of God's plan of blessing!! It is amazing how the Lord works through his people!   -- You are invited to use our online giving at mywels.com/giveonline or send in your envelope and/or offerings to church. If you have any questions, please just contact pastor.
  • IN NEED OF HELP - if you are need of any help during this time, whether it is getting groceries or supplies, whatever it may be, please just call and ask. It is important for us to show the love of Christ in action at this time. Look for opportunities to show love and kindness for your neighbors. Go out of your way to help others. AND especially keep praying for your neighbors, your governing officials, health care workers, people working in the grocery stores and our senior citizens that are isolated in their apartments or nursing facilities. It is a challenging time, but our Lord promises to answer our prayers and never leave us!
