This is getting complicated. Juggling the rules of two jurisdictions is taxing our already meagre brains. What we know though is that we will open again in Wales on Monday. More on that below. Down in Cornwall, we’re having a rest until midnight on 2 December at least. We’ll let you know what we know when we know it.

After a 2 week Firebreak, we’ll be opening on Monday for lunch at The Griffin. There’s no point in being open if we have no guests so we aren’t going to be shy of asking you (if you live in Wales) to visit us. We believe we’ve put in place a space that is as safe as it can be. And in a region that has pretty low incidence. So please do come and see us.

The picture is perhaps a little too complex to replicate here. But, as briefly as we can: the Rule of 6 has now become 4. But those 4 can come from any households. You can be more than 4, but only if from the same household. Until 3 December you can only visit if you live in Wales. We may be asked to check that you do. We prefer bookings but if you drop in on the way past, that’s fine, we’ll just need to take your details on arrival. And we may be asked to take contact details for everyone who visits. We’ll filter the new rules over the weekend and will adapt our systems to ensure as seamless a visit as ever.
