NEW WORKSHOP ALERT
I’m after a show of hands here guys, who wants first dibs on my first ever Zoom workshop. I have had a request for a large 22cm glass wreath session and it got me thinking…. I could get a pack of materials delivered to your door and all the tools you need. Then everyone will come together on Sun 6th Dec for a live H&S talk and glass cutting demonstration on Zoom. You would then create your wreath, take as much time as you want and then get them back to me for firing. It’s quite an experimental workshop but I am sooo excited by the idea. All you would need is a table which can be covered, and a vacuum cleaner for any shards of glass that might fall on the floor. I’ll supply paper and cutting mats that protect your work surface. Price to be confirmed but it should be between £35 and £45 all in.

I really need feedback about a new idea!
We all know that 2020 has been, err, less than perfect, but I have been blown away by the support I’ve been shown and brand new connections that I have found in you lovely lot! I am blessed to be able to do what I love every day, sometimes 12 hours a day, but I am fully aware that this full-time self-employed malarkey isn’t going to be easy any time soon. I hope that you can appreciate my dedication to my little business and my determination to adapt to enable me to continue bringing you some sparkling glass!
Organisations like the Crafts Council and Design Nation are expressing concerns that 2021 will be another year of cancelled art shows, and very limited face to face events such as workshops. The shows, open studio events and workshops are what keep my business going. But I am determined to develop ways to keep the studio rent paid and the kiln running!
If you’re reading this, I know you appreciate art, design and glass. You may be a self-confessed glass addict, a fan of all things turquoise, my personal cheerleader even, and you probably agree that sparkles fix everything!
