Covid Safety Plan

Church community,

Our goal, our calling, is to always love our neighbors and to care for those who are sick.  Today, the numbers of Covid cases in our community are rising and hospital capacities are shrinking.  In an effort to help keep each of you all safe and to help the nurses and doctors in our community who are caring for the sickest among us, we will be moving back to phase 1 of our Covid safety plan.

Our policies say that when the 7 day average positive percentage cases decline again to 10% or below we can move again to phase 2 gathering outdoors together.  As of today the 7-day average positive percentage in our community is 16%. Below you can see the policy from our leadership team with all of those details.  Phase 1 means that everything in the church will be virtual and remote except for funerals and weddings which can with 20 people or less outdoors.

I know, we know, that being covid-safe is hard.  Wearing masks, being physically distant, staying home when we feel sick or exposed, it isn't easy.  Loneliness, mental health struggles, economic struggles and fears are real. We are praying with you in this time.  Please reach out to each other, to one of the pastors or the elders with any ways we can support you. Write letters, make phone calls, do drive by visits, send care packages...support each other! Let us love one another.  Let us make these small sacrifices so that hopefully we can gather again safely very soon.  Let us keep being the church alive and well while also keeping each other alive and well.

God is with you, God is with us, and God will not let us go.

God's hope and love always speaks loudest and last.  This is true for us to!

God's peace to you,
Rev. Allison Lanza
