Happier days are coming....
At the time of writing, there is some positive news breaking about a Covid vaccine. It has been heralded as "a great day for science and humanity" and the companies involved in its development have applied for emergency approval to use the vaccine by the end of this month. This coupled with the rapid testing programs and improved treatments can give us a glimmer of hope for getting our lives back to normal and hopefully good times are just around the corner.
As we are now in Lockdown v2.0 we have sadly closed our doors again but we have taken this as a great opportunity to commence our winter refurbishment early. Within minutes of the last guests leaving the building, the plumbers were getting stuck in to the first of the twelve bathrooms on the to-do list! As well as new tiling, showers, lighting and radiators we are also skimming ceilings, changing furniture and mattresses we are also adding new technology which will make a stay at Stone House even more enjoyable. We also have some exciting plans for a new building in the grounds - but more on this in future newsletters!
We are hopeful that we can re-open on the 2nd December and we can welcome you back for a short winter break. We also have a few rooms available for our covid-secure but very festive Christmas & New Year Breaks.
