Joys and Concerns
If you have a joy or a concern you would like lifted up in prayer this Sunday in our worship, please send Nancy Mikoski an email with "Joys & Concerns" in the memo. She will gather them and lift them up in prayer. The deadline is Friday at noon for the upcoming Sunday.
Note: All of our worship services are available on our website. Visit the church website home page and follow the link in the upper right. Look for the video player and a link for the order of worship document (PDF.). There you will also find a link to the archive of prior services.

Remember that live streaming starts at 10:10 am with Don Dolan's Prelude.
Please start at the homepage of https://pennpres.org and click on the worship button on the upper right of the page. (This means you do not have to search elsewhere. The actual video address changes on each occasion.)

You may also save it to your browser: https://pennpres.org/reservation/

"God, I do not like to confront what I cannot control; I shrink before my own limitations and human frailty. Help me to trust in your steadfast constancy and know that your sovereign goodness is all that I need. Teach me to number my days so that I may grow wise in heart, knowing that, no matter their length, I dwell in you eternally. Amen."

Hi Pennington Presbyterian Church families!
By popular demand, we're doing another round of our PPC Family Book Club that we started this past summer. The (virtual) book club is designed to build community and spark conversations about diversity, equity, and inclusion. During November/December, registered families will receive about 3-4 books (approximately one per week) to read and reflect on together – and also read the reactions of other families who shared the book. We’re focusing on book selections for ages 3-13, but anyone is welcome to join us – including grandparents reading to grandchildren!

The PPC Mission Committee has decided to join forces with the Toll Gate Grammar School's annual Thanksgiving dinner program for clients of the Trenton Area Soup Kitchen. Because of the pandemic, this year's meals will be Grab and Go bags. There is an urgent need for the following:
- cans of jellied cranberry sauce
- cans of green beans
- juice packs
If you are able to donate any of these items, please bring them to the collection box located inside the outer vestibule of the courtyard entrance to the church between Thursday, 11/12, and Monday, 11/23.
Thank you!!

This year the Angel Tree will be supporting the Capital Health Auxiliary's Toy Closet, which will provide holiday gifts to the children and babies who receive healthcare at the Capital Health Clinics in Trenton. There are 2 options for those who would like to participate.
- You can donate money by several methods. You may donate via the PPC online donation system and type in "Angel Tree" in the comment section. Or, you may send a check to the church office and put "Angel Tree" in the memo.
- Alternatively, you can bring in new, unwrapped toys, gift cards, or baby clothes to the church if you come for a Sunday service. Please give the item to one of the deacons.
For those that give a monetary gift, the deacons will go shopping with the funds and purchase items for the children and babies. The recommended donation amount is $20-$25. We will need all toys, clothes, and donations by November 27th.

Buying toys this year?
You can help PPNS raise funds at the same time.
Pennington Presbyterian Nursery School is unable to hold our annual Children's Christmas Celebration and Silent Auction fundraiser this December as we all stay safe during the pandemic. We are participating in a small fundraiser, though, that will support a local shop and our school at the same time! Twirl, the charming toy store on Main Street, has generously offered to donate 10% of sales made during November to Pennington Presbyterian Nursery School if you mention our name when you make a purchase. The 10% will help us raise some money to keep our scholarship fund afloat during this very challenging year. It will also help to keep Twirl in business, so you'll be supporting two local organizations at the same time! Thank you! Questions? Call or e-mail Hope Anderson at 609-320-3285 or hopeanderson.ppns@gmail.com.

Congregation Photo Montage
We are looking for photos of our Church Family from the last three years because Clarke Walker will create a photo montage to celebrate God's goodness and the life of our church during the November 15 Congregation Meeting. If you have some that you are willing to share, please send them to Worship@PennPres.org by no later than November 11.
You may send pictures individually, a few at a time, or in a zip file. Please make sure you have the okay from those people who are identifiable in the photos.
The photos can be from a Church event, like a picnic, mission trip, a mission project, a Church visit to a neighboring location, an OAM sponsored talk, or a worship service. They can also be photos of Church groups like committee meetings, fundraising walks, or worship at home. If a Church person is in the photo, we would like to identify who that is. This montage is for this event among our church family and not for outside usage on social media or any other public space.
Thank you.

Let us Pray ... A prayer inspired by Mark 6:31.
31 Then, because so many people were coming and going that they did not even have a chance to eat, he said to them, “Come with me by yourselves to a quiet place and get some rest.”
"Thank you for hearing and answering my prayer. Gratefully, in Jesus' name, Amen."
