Dear Parents and Carers,
  
I am writing to inform you that I have been made aware of one of our Year 10 students at the College who has tested positive for COVID 19.

Understandably, this will concern you all but be assured we are monitoring the situation and continue to work closely with Public Health England, the Department for Education and our Local Authority. As always, I wanted to take the earliest opportunity to inform you of the current situation and provide advice on how to support your child.
 
We have carried out an investigation to establish which other students that this student has come in to close contact with. Following this investigation, all Parents/Carers of students who have been identified as a close contact of the child who has tested positive for COVID have now been contacted and advised that their child must now self-isolate for 14 days.
 
All other students can continue as per the arrangements that are already in place for this week:

• Years 7, 9, 11, 12 and 13: in College as normal
• Years 8 and 10: engaging in remote education until the end of the week

As you will be aware from my previous communication, we have had all areas of the College cleaned last week during the two days we were closed so I can assure you that the information I am updating you with poses no additional risk to students attending College, I am simply making sure that I keep you all up to date and ensuring that you receive information directly from the College.
