A Big Thank You
to all of our volunteers!
isNovember brought with it the joy of our first live concert since the shutdown!
We followed our responsible reopening guidelines and had a small audience of masked music fans while we set up a live stream for the public, free of charge! Kyshona Armstrong is a powerhouse and quite a story teller.
Follow us on FaceBook and Instagram, and subscribe to our new YouTube channel for concert clips as well as future Open Mic Nights, classes and seminars. (Links at bottom of this page)

Our Greenway Art Project, in partnership with Statesville Parks and Recreation and area artists, is taking shape - and color! Enjoy a walk soon to view the work underway. Follow us on social media for posts as mounds (and a bridge) are completed. Thank you artists for your talent and hard work.

Our upcoming gallery exhibition will be Amy Sullivan Fine Art. Amy is a Statesville favorite, as well as a nationally known artist, and her annual exhibit at our Old Jail is enjoyed by many.  Join us December 8th for Amy's opening night
at 5:30 pm.

Grant season is winding down and the first grant winner announced for Iredell County is Paul Farmer of Mooresville. Paul is an artist and art professor at Winthrop and CPCC. Paul earned an Artist Support Grant from the North Carolina Arts Council for his Interactive Photomontage series, (G)LI(T)CHEN. Visit his webpage:  http://www.paulfarmerartist.com/new-project-s-.html
Paul's work is important both artistically and environmentally.

Grant committees are reviewing applications for additional awards. We will keep you updated as announcements are released. We thank everyone involved for the effort to keep the arts alive and thriving in North Carolina during this difficult time. We ask the public to look for ways to support the arts in Iredell County and beyond. As always, head to our website for membership opportunities: https://www.iredellartscouncil.org/membership. Partner with us to support the arts.

A big thank you to all of our volunteers who have worked to upgrade sound, light and video systems. Big changes have taken place - thanks to all of you who have given your time and talent.
You Rock!
