FREE Drive In Movie. Elf! Friday, November 20th at 7pm, at Chilhowee Park

The City of Knoxville, the Knox County Public Library and The Pilot Company are pleased to bring you Drive-In at the Midway on Friday, November 20 at Chilhowee Park and Exposition Center. They will be screening 2003's Elf (PG). Gates will open at 5:00 PM, and the movie will begin at 7:30 PM. Arrive early, as no vehicles will be allowed entrance after the movie begins.

Give A Blank! Fundraiser for Blank Newspaper, Sunday, November 22, 2-6pm at Merchants of Beer

Have you heard the News? Blank, one of Knoxville’s last independent newspapers is working with EventShop to bring an extra-special Sunday Funday to Downtown Knoxville! A $10 cover grants you access to some great beer and booze specials, live music from Thrift Store Cowboys and other goodies! All proceeds will benefit Knoxville's independent Blank Newspaper.

What do you call it when a wizard hits you with a frying pan? Cast Iron. Get it? You crack me up. That’s what the egg said to the frying pan! Ok, we’ll stop now and get serious. there is a place off the shore (32 miles off, to be exact) of North Carolina that has been a hazard to mariners since the Europeans explored the area hundreds of years ago. Named for its frying pan shape, the area has been marked with a light ship then a light tower. The light tower is being restored with the help of volunteers. The best part?
