You can find all of this information and more on the NPNA's website

Bylaw meeting update from Monday, November 9, 2020 with Shannon Perkins
  • Structure count in Central Park is in flux.
  • There are currently 73 structures, up from 62 Monday of last week
    • It is unclear if perhaps some of these new structures are people displaced by the Capital City Hotel fire (85 individuals displaced by that fire)
    • Shannon Perkins is reaching out to BC Housing to see what options were provided to those displaced by this fire
  • This week’ priorities:
    • Bylaw is continuing to work on identifying who is in the park, and for what reason?
    • Beginning this week, a team has been formed to have conversations with each individual in Central Park to identify their specific needs
    • The team will include BC Housing (update and complete applications), Ministry of Poverty & Social Development (update and complete funding/disability applications and ensure folks are receiving what they are supposed to be), Bylaw, and NPNA (respond to specific needs for supplies: tents, tarps, sleeping bags, cots, etc).
  • Neighbourhood Liaisons (Mike Hill, Gary Pemberton, and Kimberly Stratford) will begin to act as point of contact between neighbourhoods and City. No further details at this point on what that will look like or include yet.
Weekly Meetings in Central Park
  • Central Park Healing Circle, Wednesdays @ 4pm between the baseball diamonds. Led by Rose Henry. Open to all.
