UBCAni x PRINT Art collab workshop

UBCAni is back at it again with our friends from the UBC PRINT Arts and Crafts Club as we bring you our third collab workshop of the year!

This time, we'll be upgrading our defense by crafting some cosplay armor! Guided by the experienced hands of Jerry Chen, join us as we learn how to turn some ordinary pieces of foam into amazing armor, good enough to take into the battleground of best cosplay! Check out Jerry's awesome cosplays on Instagram at raisorcosplay

This workshop will be held via our UBCAni x PRINT Discord server at 3pm on Saturday, November 14th 2020, so don't miss out! Please don't forget to RSVP to this google form as well as click "going" to this workshop's Facebook event page to claim your raffle tickets for a better chance at winning some amazing prizes during the event!

For those of you interested and planning to attend this workshop, please be reminded that some materials will be needed if you plan on crafting your own awesome set of cosplay armor.

MATERIALS
Necessary:
- EVA foam (can be the mats or the roll)
- Utility knives/scissors (Preferably both)
- Hot glue gun and glue sticks
- Pen or sharpie
- Paper

Optional:
- Cutting mat (If you are using a knife)
- Super glue
- Craft foam
- Tape
- Kiwk seal/foam clay

Other Tips:
Most of these materials can be bought from a Dollar store or Michaels.
EVA foam can be bought from places like Superstore, Walmart and Canadian tire. If you do choose to buy from Canadian Tire, you can purchase it from the home improvement section for much cheaper and split a roll of foam among 2-3 people.

Here are some cool examples from previous cosplays for some inspiration:

We hope to see you there!
