Messy Church £100 appeal – what we're doing
|
|
Every autumn for the past few years we have had the joy of sharing remarkable stories of lives being changed through Messy Church in the Messy Church £100 appeal.
We treasure these stories because they help us to see something of what God has done and, we pray, will continue to do through Messy Church.

|
|
As some Messy Churches had just started taking tentative steps towards meeting again in a ‘Covid-secure’ way, things have changed again.
The hospitality that is so fundamental to Messy Church has been hugely impacted, and many Messy Church leaders feel this loss keenly.

Not the right time
Considering the current climate, we felt it wasn’t the right time to ask churches to give to support Messy Church as we normally would in the Messy Church £100 appeal.
Despite this, BRF’s Messy Church team has been working tirelessly to support the whole Messy Church community, and we are under considerable financial pressures across the charity.
We are enormously thankful to all who have donated, become Friends of Messy Church by giving regularly or have bought our charity Christmas cards to help support the ministry.
To all who have been praying, serving, sharing their creativity, liking, commenting, encouraging and holding on to hope, thank you so much.

Looking to the future
God willing, we intend to share with you something of our plans for 2021–22 in the spring.
In the meantime:
- If your church would still like to give to support BRF’s Messy Church ministry, we would hugely value your support. You can give online or request details to give by BACS, or you can give by cheque payable to ‘BRF’ and send it with your church details to FREEPOST BRF, quoting 'Messy Church £100'.
- All the stories from previous Messy Church £100 appeals are available at messychurch.org.uk/100appeal to watch, share and fuel your prayers.
- Do you know anyone who might consider becoming a Friend of Messy Church by giving regularly? As little as £2 a month would make a big difference. Find out more about Friends of Messy Church.
If you would like copies of our regular giving leaflet 'Friends of BRF', you can request these via giving@brf.org.uk or by telephone on 01235 462305. Just let us know what you would like and where to send them.

Our prayer for you
As the whole Messy Church community and the wider church works together to navigate the best ways forward, we pray that God would give you and your church strength, wisdom, patience and vision to know how best to serve those near you.
