Detroit Future City is joining sustainability leaders around the world who are hosting TEDx events as part of TEDxCountdown. Countdown is a global initiative to champion and accelerate solutions to climate change, turning ideas into collective, coordinated action.

DFC will be hosting a virtual webinar to talk about the impacts of climate change in Detroit with local leaders driving the work towards a climate resilient city. Join us as we premier two short videos featuring DFC’s Executive Director Anika Goss, Jodee Raines, Executive Vice President of Programs at the Erb Foundation, and Lola Gibson-Berg, Community Education Coordinator at Keep Growing Detroit on whatclimate change and action means for Detroiters. We will also convene a discussion with our panelists:

Donna Givens – President & CEO, Eastside Community Network
Erma Leaphart – Associate Organizer, Sierra Club Michigan Chapter
Joel Howrani Heeres – Directory of Sustainability, City of Detroit
