November 12
  • Helmer Lot 3 Class I ADU
The Planning Commission will consider a proposal to build a garage with additional dwelling unit at 1742 CR 509 in Ignacio.
  • Border Buds Retail Marijuana Dispensary Class II
The Planning Commission will consider a proposal for a new retail marijuana dispensary to be located at 1929 S U.S. Highway 550.
  • Land Use Code assessment planning
The Planning Commission will begin a preliminary discussion about how to set metrics for measuring success of new land use code. This conversation is intended to establish a framework and questions which may include key trends, data reports, success metrics to track types of proposals and results of PC actions.

Registered District Advisory Committees coming soon
The new land use code introduces the concept of Registered District Advisory Committees (RDAC), which afford organized citizen groups the opportunity to participate in the district plan amendment process and to comment on land use permits which require public notice, including but not limited to administrative, minor, major, as well as zoning, comprehensive, and district plan amendment applications. Membership in a RDAC is not required for an individual citizen to participate in the district plan amendment process, and membership in a RDAC does not eliminate or impact an individual member’s right to comment as an individual citizen. Provided a RDAC meets the requirements of this section, more than one RDAC may exist for a planning district. A RDAC is intended to represent the entire geographical area of its respective planning district and shall not limit its focus or advocacy to any particular area within a planning district to the exclusion of other areas in the planning district.

Applications to form a Registered District Advisory Committee will be available in December on the Planning Department web page under What's New.
