Update to the Network No. 8/2020
This Pro Bono Italia's Update to the Network is fully dedicated to the forthcoming third edition of the Italy Pro Bono Day, which will take place online on 25 November 2020, from 10 am to 6 pm.

Organised by Pro Bono Italia, Hogan Lovells, Legance - Avvocati Associati, Orrick, CILD, CSVnet, PILnet, European Pro Bono Alliance, European Pro Bono Initiative and TrustLaw, the Italy Pro Bono Day is part of the second edition of the European Pro Bono Week, running from 23 November 2020 and involving over 15 cities across the continent.

The event will be held via Zoom platform and all the sessions will be in Italian. Details on how to attend via Zoom will be sent to each registrant by e-mail, before the event. Three ordinary credits for CLE’s purposes will be granted to lawyers who attend sessions 01 and 03.

Session 01: FREE LEGAL TRAINING FOR NGOs AND THIRD SECTOR ENTITIES 

(10 am to 12:30 am)

NGOs, Third Sector Entities, and social enterprises are invited to free legal training sessions provided by the lawyers of our network on the following subject-matters:

  • Emergency legislation related to Covid-19;
  • Corporate law (specifically focused on associations and non-profit organizations);
  • Reform of the Third Sector;
  • Bankruptcy law;
  • Labour law;
  • Personal data protection;
  • Real estate law;
  • Succession law;
  • Immigration law.
Until tomorrow (13 November 2020), NGOs and Third Sector entities are invited to participate to a quick survey, to express their preferences and make specific requests as to the topics they would like our lawyers to address during the training sessions.

Session 02: 36TH ITALIAN PRO BONO ROUNDTABLE

(12:30 am to 2 pm)

The Agenda includes the presentation of some NGOs new to our network, the presentation of the clearinghouses' annual reports (Coalizione Italiana Libertà e Diritti civili (CILD) and CSVnet), as well as that of Pro Bono Italia, and a speech of a representative of National Coordination of the Italian Legal Clinics' Board.

Break: VIRTUAL NETWORKING
(2 pm to 3:30 pm)

Waiting for the seminar, there will be a space for virtual networking. The participants will have the opportunity to know each other, share the respective experiences and activities, and establish new contacts and relationships.

Session 03: SEMINAR "POST FATA RESURGO: LESSON LEARNED OR (STILL) TO BE LEARNED?" (co-organised with The Good Lobby Italia)

(3:30 pm to 5:30 pm)

Leading academics and professionals in the field of labor sociology, economy, finance, technology, no-profit, legal profession and pro bono will discuss on how the impact of the health emergency and the tecnological transformations are changing our lives, and the role of the organised civil society in directing the expenditure of the Recovery Fund’s resources.

Session 04: CELEBRATION EVENT

(5:30 pm to 6 pm)

Following the seminar, there will be a celebration event of the third edition of the Italy Pro Bono Day, as well as of the latest Pro Bono Italia’s achievements.
