Dear LCA Families,

During these unprecedented times, one of the scripture passages the Lord has placed upon my heart is the following: We are hard pressed on every side, but not crushed; perplexed, but not in despair; persecuted, but not abandoned; struck down, but not destroyed. (2 Corinthians 4:8 – 9, NIV). When I visualize those who personify the traits outlined in this passage, I immediately think of our teachers. This year has presented its fair share of challenges and yet our educators have endured. They redesigned their instruction to fit whatever model which needs to be met. Such flexibility speaks volumes about our teachers’ commitment to their students, our school, and their profession as a whole.

Eleanor Roosevelt once wrote, “Be flexible, but stick to your principles.” Our teachers have done just that. Although they had to modify how they deliver content, communicate with students, and assess learning, our amazing educators are still integrating a clear Biblical-worldview approach in all that they do. Thank you teachers for consistently modeling that LCA is second to none in equipping and nurturing students to fulfill God’s calling on their lives through Christ-centered education.

In Him,
Scott

“Giving Tuesday” was created in 2012 as a simple idea: a day that encourages people to do good. Over the past seven years, it has grown into a global movement that inspires hundreds of millions of people to give, collaborate, and celebrate generosity. This year, LCA’s Giving Tuesday campaign is dedicated to “Celebrate Teachers & Staff.” As you may know, the “Celebrate Teachers & Staff” program is an appeal for LCA families and friends to prayerfully consider a monetary gift that will provide a Christmas bonus to our teachers and staff. To donate, families can by texting "GIVE" To (859) 600-6625 or online here. Thank you for considering LCA as you donate on Giving Tuesday.
We're so excited for the second Eagle Dad campaign! Last year our 35 Eagle Dads raised $68,805 that went directly to the school's mission "to equip and nurture students to fulfill God’s calling on their lives through Christ-centered education.” This fun-filled campaign will again correspond with the Eagle Gala to be held on January 29, 2021. The program consists of a campaign of online votes, a reveal at the Eagle Gala, and a calendar highlighting our Eagle Dads, their families, as well as activities around the school. Learn more about being an Eagle Dad here.

Also, be sure to save the date, January 29, 2021 for the Eagle Gala. More info coming soon!
