Wednesday 18 November, 9.30am - 3.30pm
Platform: Zoom Meetings

Following on from the huge success of ‘Wales Tech Week’ in July, Technology Connected in partnership with Working Wales, now invite you to join them for ‘Level Up: Working in Tech 2020’ which will take place on Wednesday 18 November 2020.

This unique, online event, will focus on the career and training opportunities available in the technology sector in Wales. Through panel sessions, special guest interviews and specialist, facilitated breakout rooms, attendees will learn about career routes into technology, retraining opportunities and advice from those who have made the transition into the industry from other sectors.

Webinar: EU Settlement Scheme

Helping EU, EEA and Swiss citizens to secure their rights to stay in the UK

EU, EEA and Swiss citizens who want to stay in the UK beyond 31 December 2020 will need to apply to the EU Settlement Scheme (EUSS) by 30 June 2021. The Welsh Government is working with a number of organisations in Wales to offer free advice and support for any EU, EEA and Swiss citizen living in Wales, to ease concerns about applying and to help bust some myths about the process.

Newfields Law and TGP Cymru will be delivering a webinar on 26 November for voluntary organisations, many of whom will work with vulnerable EU citizens who may not have applied to the scheme yet. The webinar will cover the key details of the EUSS and the application process, and it will provide information about how you can signpost and refer EU citizens to the support that’s most relevant to their specific needs.

In this session, Data Hub Cymru will:
  • demonstrate some of the websites and tools they offer
  • provide an overview of the different data sources that paint a picture of Welsh communities
  • show how you can use some of the data to support your work
