2021 SPARK Photo Festival

The SPARK Photo Festival Board of Directors has been monitoring the evolution of the pandemic and the impact on our community constantly and will continue to do so in the coming months. 
 

We are pleased to be moving forward to launch the Festival in April 2021. Arts are more important than ever for a vital community and we want you to join SPARK in bringing photographic art to Peterborough, Northumberland and the Kawarthas.
 

Registration for Open Call Exhibits and Themed Juried Exhibit entries are now open.

We have formulated a plan to host the Festival with modifications, as necessary, to adhere to public health guidelines and will modify further, as necessary, as the situation changes. We will work closely with Exhibitors and Venues to mount exhibits in the best, and safest, possible way for the photographers, host venues and Festival-goers.

In light of the ever-changing situation, we encourage exhibitors to “think outside the box” (or walls as the case may be) on creative venues that will allow for outdoor viewing with appropriate physical distancing measures.

Along with the Exhibitors registered for 2020, we look forward to welcoming more talented photographers to showcase their work in Peterborough, Northumberland and the Kawarthas and carrying on the SPARK tradition this coming spring. The Top 25 images as determined by the Jury will be exhibited in the 2021 Festival and the best of the best win cash prizes.

All Ontario residents of any photography skill level are eligible to enter the Juried Exhibit.
