With 2020 being a year of unexpected difficulties for many — COVID-19, wildfires, political challenges, earthquakes, hurricanes, explosions and more — I decided to focus on gratitude in this week’s newsletter. And so, firstly, I am grateful there is only one month left until 2021!
Research has proven that gratitude changes the brain and body for the better. In the midst of a difficult year, it’s easy to lose sight of all the things in our lives that we can be grateful for: food, clothing, a roof over our heads, money in the bank, family, the ability to help others — there are so many.
I am so grateful for you! I’m grateful for everyone who takes the time to read our newsletter. I’m grateful for everyone who has donated to our charities and for those who continue to do so. And I know that all of our beneficiaries are incredibly grateful for how their lives have changed as a result of your generosity. Thank you!
With Giving Tuesday coming up on the 1 December 2020, please consider making a donation to one of our recommended charities. Those living in extreme poverty have likely been hit the hardest this year. We hope you will also please consider donating to The Life You Can Save itself. Supporting our organization is a great way to multiply the impact of your donation, and every US$1 donated to The Life You Can Save itself has helped us generate roughly US$11.50 for our “best charities.” For your convenience, we have set up a “90/10 Fund” where 90% of your donation is divided equally amongst our best charities and 10% goes to The Life You Can Save itself.
