Welcome to another local newsletter,
We have so many news worthy items happening locally, they deserve to be delivered to you as early as possible. I hope this new newsletter will do that for you. The news this week has been that the 18th Nov 2020 "COVID Circuit Breaker" 6 day shutdown has been cut short, to only 3 days. The emergency is not completely over, with several clusters still existing, but it is safer now. Congratulations to South Australian's for doing the right thing, STAY SAFE, KEEP SMILING AND KEEP LOOKING AFTER EACH OTHER.

A small gathering of all ages attended the Remembrance Day Service at the Eudunda Memorial Gardens which were looking splendid thanks to the Eudunda Garden Volunteers.
The Remembrance Day Services is on November the 11th each year and the service starts at 11am to commemorate the silencing of guns on the Western Front (Europe) after four years of continuous warfare and the signed an Armistice, bringing to an end the First World War.
In the four years of the war more than 330,000 Australians had served overseas, and more than 60,000 of them had died
The service now remembers the fallen of World War II and the many other conflicts, Korea, Vietnam and peacekeeping efforts.
It is a short solemn service, still with COVID spacing in mind. Many beautiful wreathes were laid in memory of the fallen by various representatives of local organisations.
Of note in the above photo taken by Toby Herriman is Olivia Schiller’s Grandparents Paul & Helen Schiller watching on, along with St. John’s Lutheran School students.
After the service people gathered at the Eudunda RSL Rooms to talk, and have a drink.
Eudunda Golf Club introduces Corona Safe Golf at the JAK Golf 2020 and Tim Knight finally wins the Jack Memorial Best off the Stick.
A nice fine morning greeted players at the Eudunda Golf Club on the 8th November 2020 for the club’s 21st JAK Golf Day.
South Australia had been in a lucky position, compared to the Northern Hemisphere and even Victoria, having few Covid cases and things much more in control, which in turn allowed our event to go ahead with special precautions.
The morning started off with enrollments, some relaxing chats and then the customary briefing. A respectful one minute silence as Captain Bistro called all to order and as everyone bowed their heads names of recent departed friends of Eudunda and JAK Golf Day were called out. Those remembered were Mary Mader, Matt Garnett, Brett Warner, Adolfo De Angelis and Phil Timmis (Snr).
The club’s latest Club Link Junior Golfer Seth Hodgson was asked to hit the first official ball to start the proceedings and was not fazed at all by the task.

Message from the Eudunda Christmas Party Committee: SANTA’S MAGIC CAVE – CANCELLED
The ECP committee have unfortunately made the tough decision to cancel the Santa Cave for 2020. This decision has not been made lightly, but we feel it is the best decision to keep our children and community safe at this point in time.
To say we are disappointed is an understatement-there is no greater joy in seeing kids faces light up when they see Santa. We hope you all can respect this decision.
The Light Up Christmas competition will still go ahead as planned.
For those who have already registered for the Santa Cave, we will be in touch in coming days for a full refund. Thank you.
