Dear Friends of Allison Rimm and Associates,

Are you, like just about everyone I’ve spoken to recently, experiencing a sense of distortion when it comes to tracking time during the pandemic? I certainly am. It seems that every task I do takes three times longer than it normally does. And I’ve even lost track of when certain events have occurred- sometimes by several weeks. As I like to say, time flies when it’s happening to someone else.

While we can chuckle over some of this, most of us are struggling mightily as we balance working remotely, managing family commitments, or just trying to restructure our work to fit current circumstances. Time is our most limited resource as no matter what we do, we will never add more to the 24 hours in each day. Money can't buy me love and it can't buy me more time either. But when we approach time management with mindfulness, we can make more
of our precious time available to do those things that are most important - and don't forget to include some joy among all the to-dos on your list. That requires careful attention and discipline. If working from home, it may mean setting thoughtful boundaries between work and family or roommate time. For many of us, achieving this goal includes breaking long-standing habits as well as developing the courage to say no to others seeking our attention on matters that are not our priorities.

During this trying period, the need to manage our time mindfully has never been greater. One silver lining in this large cloud may be that you will finally commit to developing the basic time management skills you’ve been meaning to get to for years.  I am delighted to invite you to learn more about how to do just that at a webinar I am offering next week. Read on to learn more and I hope to see you there.

Timeless Wisdom

The time is always right to do what is right.

Martin Luther King, Jr
We cannot control everything that is happening in our environment. But we CAN control how we spend our precious time. Take this opportunity to look inside and determine what is most important to you. Focus your time, energy and attention on addressing your highest priorities and take satisfaction in even the smallest accomplishments.

With Gratitude and Best Wishes,

Allison
