Greetings members,
November has been a busy month at Drouin GC. It has been great to see large fields for all of our events, particularly after the return of our members from the area classified as Metropolitan. As Covid restriction ease, it will be great to see members enjoying clubhouse facilities as well. Some things I would like to report on:
Men's Matchplay Championships:
the Quarter finalists have been decided after last Saturday's second qualifying round. They are as follows:
- Scratch: Ryan Hammond vs Peter Morris, Mark Allen vs Joe Kirby, Michael Santo vs Ryan Radford, Jye Kruyer vs Kevin Thorpe
- Division One: Mark Allen vs Ian Good, Michael Santo vs Shawn Coombs, Joe Kirby vs Kevin Thorpe, Matthew Guy vs Glenn Flowers
- Division Two: Raymond Fish vs Bernie Coyle, Gary Burns vs Jock Granger, Glenn Bayne vs Sean Kelly, Duart Perrin vs Bryan Delaney
- Division Three: Stephen Smith vs Mick Wardle, Gary Florence vs Michael Duddy, Doug Scott vs Peter Brown, Ian Bertolotti vs Richard Snare
- Players are to organize their own matches, and the Quarter finals must be complete by the end of play, Saturday December 12th. Please contact our club office if you need contact details of your opponent.
Details of the draw for the quarter finals, semi finals and finals will be posted on the clubhouse noticeboard.
Plates:
It was very pleasing to see 12 Drouin golfers participate and represent the club in three teams of four at the Trafalgar Plate on Sunday. This coming Sunday we have two teams entered in the Ben Boon Memorial Plate at Moe, and we have two full teams and another team requiring two more players for the Morwell Plate for Sunday 13th of December. If you would like to play in the Morwell Plate please put your name on the sheet in the clubhouse, or contact me directly on 0418 500673.
