Important COVID-19 update for your appointments at Good Start Psychology

23rd November 2020

Dear valued clients,

As you are aware, both our Salisbury and Parafield Gardens sites are in the proximity of the COVID-19 Parafield Cluster.  For this reason, we are taking the health and safety of our clients and staff very seriously and will be implementing extra precautions while government restrictions are in place.

Please be advised of the following, currently applicable until December 1st 2020:

Face Masks
SA Health recommend that all people over 12 years old wear face masks when in public. We ask that any clients 12 years and over wear a mask while attending appointments at Good Start Psychology. If this is not possible for any reason, parents can either 'drop and go' when bringing their child to appointments or change their appointment to telehealth.
If you have your own mask, please bring it with you to your appointment, otherwise we will have masks available to those who do not have their own.
Our therapists will be required to wear face masks while in session and our administration staff will be required to wear face masks when social distancing is not possible while interacting with clients (taking temperature etc.)
As our clients will be wearing masks inside the clinic, we will not be providing drinks (coffee, tea etc). We thank you in advance for your understanding.
Please see below information about how to safely and effectively wear a mask.

Use of Thermometer
Staff will be taking the temperature of all clients, parents and carers attending the clinic with a non-contact Infrared Forehead Thermometer. If you have a high temperature, we will need to reschedule your appointment.

Telehealth
Although we are still open for face to face appointments, we are very happy to offer telehealth appointments.  These can be delivered via telephone or video consultation.
If you would like further information or would like to arrange a telehealth consult for your next appointment, please feel free to contact us on 0499248080.

Additional procedures for clients and their families
In order for us to continue operating at the highest possible standard, please be advised of the following:
  • Parents with a child attending an appointment are encouraged to 'drop and go' whenever possible
  • Please practice social distancing within our clinic.  If this is not possible in our waiting area, please wait in your car.  There is also a bench at the rear of the clinic if you wish to wait outside
  • If you must attend an appointment with your child, only one parent or carer per participant should accompany them
  • Do not bring pets into the clinic, unless they are a certified therapy or assistance animal
  • Please use hand sanitiser when entering and exiting the clinic
  • We encourage everyone to download the COVIDSafe app to assist with contact tracing
IMPORTANT: Please contact us to arrange a telehealth appointment or to reschedule if any of the following apply to you
  • You are feeling unwell with a sore throat, fever or shortness of breath
  • You or any of your immediate family are awaiting results of a COVID-19 test
  • You or any of your immediate family have a respiratory condition, cardiovascular health issues, hypertension or are immune compromised and have been advised by your doctor to self-isolate
  • You have travelled on any of the bus routes or visited any of the locations at the times listed on the SA Health website below:
