Economic developers from 13 states will be gathering virtually for the Mid America Economic Development Council Competitiveness Conference & Site Selector Forum Dec 2-3. I'll be presenting "Refilling the Business Pipeline: Expanding Economic Development Opportunity with Innovative Rural Business Models."

Sometime in Spring 2021, I'm hoping we'll see the Northwest Oklahoma Alliance Teeny Tiny Town Summit in-person at Woodward, Oklahoma.I'll present on rural retail and measures of community success.

I'll be joining the virtual Midstates Community and Economic Development Conference for the first time to present the opening keynote on Idea Friendly Communities, in April 2021.

One tentative event worth mentioning is a virtual rural entrepreneurship training series that is expected to run throughout 2021.

If you're interested in a virtual presentation, all my details are available at BeckyMcCray.com

December 10 I'm excited to present Idea Friendly to the Hancock County, Illinois RCD folks. They have some small towns that are ready to create possibilities and forward movement.

December 14 the students in Grundy County, Illinois are going to learn how to start a business. Of course they'll learn the Idea Friendly Method, testing and trying out your business ideas and how to start small. It's always a pleasure working with students!

I'm looking forward to a virtual unconference at the end of December. A small group of us working in rural are gathering to share stories, ask questions and work on projects for 2021. It's happening the last week of the month, and virtually. The power of Zoom makes it possible to connect several times a day over 4 days.

Are you interested in bringing me to town, virtually or in person? More details can be found at www.buildingpossibility.com

The Survey of Rural Challenges has been released and we're seeing some fabulous responses. Thank you to all of you for responding! If you haven't had a chance yet, please just go here. It takes about 5 minutes and helps guide us to providing content you can rely upon.
