NStEP Newsletter: A major conference, an exciting new proposal for the future of student engagement, new student-led projects, and a recruitment drive!

It's your last chance to register for 'Empowerment and Partnership in Student Engagement',  hosted in partnership with Quality and Qualifications Ireland and StudentSurvey.ie. Meanwhile we are delighted to propose a new version of the Framework for Student Engagement in Decision-Making to staff and students across the sector. Find out more below about our planned collaborative dialogue in the months ahead.

You've heard of the 10 Principles of Student Engagement... but now there are just 5 Principles!

What's changed and why?

NStEP has been working to revise and reimagine the 'conceptual framework' for student engagement, published in 2016 by the Higher Education Authority. Since then, we have had the task of maintaining this important national resource. Staff and students told us it needed to evolve, so that's what we have set out to achieve.

The 10 Principles have become the 5 Principles of Student Engagement, which are dialogue, building trust, equity and inclusivity, empowerment, and students as co-creators.

Click the link below to find out more about what has changed, why we changed it, and what is next on this path to a new national approach for student engagement in decision-making, including how you can join us on the journey.
