God, You are our refuge. We run to You. You are our Lord. There is no other. Preserve and strengthen us as we face the world each and every day. You are our portion and our cup. In You, we have a beautiful inheritance -- this we will remember. Because of You, we will not be shaken. We feel certain. Heal and strengthen us now, Almighty God. In Jesus’ name, Amen.

Flame of Faith friends and family,
Thank you to everyone who has prayed for me and my family. As most of you know I was diagnosed with COVID two weeks ago. After that initial email I went a bit silent as I fought the illness. Quarantined from my family, with barely the energy to move, I worked to fight the virus. The good news is that I have gotten through the worst of the illness, and I continue to recover.
Those of you who have been through this illness can attest that it will take me time to recover my strength and energy. To that end, I’m grateful to the leadership of our Leadership Team and Janson Steffan who have stepped up to lead in my absence. On December 1st, I will be returning to the best of my ability.
Tonight and this Sunday, our Online worship will be led by Rev. Kris Mutzenberger, our District Superintendent and Janson Steffan, our worship leader. Youth Group and Flame Kids will be online on Wednesday.
I hope and pray that you all will continue to be careful in the midst of this pandemic and to reach out and connect with one another.
As we look to thanksgiving this week, whether we are together as families or celebrating alone, we know that God’s presence in our lives is one of the greatest joys of our lives.
I am grateful this year for all of you and the ways that you live out Christ’s calling to love our neighbors. Thanksgiving is a wonderful opportunity to do just that this year.

Due to Covid restrictions, we're doing Advent Decorating differently. We're hoping to decorate without gathering everyone together at the same time to huff and puff on each other. If you'd like to sign up with your family, or learning pod, or someone you trust, you may do so. As always, please wear masks when in the church building.

Each year, UMW does a gift exchange for a charity. This year, we chose the New Life Center -- and we invite the whole congregation to join us in supporting this vital community ministry.

The Adopt-a-Bin program is a great volunteer opportunity at the New Life Center. We are always looking for individuals, families, or businesses that are willing to spend about an hour each week emptying our donation bins (clothing, shoes, belts, and purses) and bringing the donations to the New Life Center Thrift Store. Meals On Wheels is a program for people age 60 and older who are confined to their homes and unable to prepare meals for themselves. Volunteers are utilized to assist in the delivery process to those who receive a meal.
