Dear QCACS Parents & Community,
It is my hope that this letter finds you in good health and spirits.
This letter is an update on the status of our operations through the COVID 19 Pandemic. We were originally scheduled to open on November 30th for Hybrid Instruction. However, due to the recent rise of COVID 19 cases and potential staffing shortages the QCACS Board of Trustees voted to push back the hybrid instructional start date to January 25, 2021 (tentatively).
In preparation for our return the following steps have been taken:

We have had an assessment of the air flow along with a review of the building ventilation system. This assessment has indicated that the buildings ventilation system is equipped to handle the hybrid instruction capacity.

All scholar desks have been equipped with privacy shields.

Classrooms have been outfitted with cameras to accommodate the hybrid instructional model.

PPE equipment was purchased for each scholar.
QCACS continues to be here to support the whole scholar which means that we also support our families. To that end the following steps have been taken to support scholars and families:

We have partnered with the Plainfield Boys & Girls to provide childcare for those parents needing childcare.

There have been multiple grocery drops throughout the pandemic and we will continue to provide relief to our families.

Chromebooks have been given out to our scholars in grades 2 through 8 and we are still awaiting a shipment of Chromebooks for grades K-1.

The social and emotional needs of our scholars are being addressed by identifying monthly activities for scholars to engage with their peers.
