AWT Apprenticeship Program Announcement

The Alliance for Working Together (AWT) Foundation is currently taking applications for the next semester in the AWT Apprenticeship Program. The cohort will start February 11th, 2021 and is a combination of online and in-person instruction. In-person instruction takes place at Auburn Career Center on Thursdays from 3pm-5pm. Our community recognizes the need for skilled manufacturing workers and would like to strengthen our manufacturing workforce through apprenticeship training.

The AWT apprenticeship offers a reliable pipeline of skilled workers, customized training that meets industry standards, and increased knowledge transfer through on-the-job learning. AWT offers four different apprenticeship occupations including precision machinist, tool programmer/numerical control, tool & die maker, and mold maker. The cost of enrollment in the AWT Apprenticeship program is $2,000 per employee per year and through the Governor’s Office of Workforce Transformation’s TechCred Program, employers who submit successful TechCred applications will be reimbursed up to $2,000 per credential when current or prospective employees complete their training. AWT Staff Members will even help your company navigate the TechCred application for training reimbursement. (Techcred will tentatively open January 1st)
