Dear Maynard Family,

This is Evelyn Hsu and Martin G. Reynolds, co-executive directors of the Maynard Institute. We want to thank Maria Hinojosa, award winning journalist and founder of Futuro Media, for joining us for the November episode of the Vision25 Belonging in the News series. Her nonprofit news organization was built upon tenets of both diversity and belonging and she emphasized in last Friday's conversation that, "feeling like you belong will make you a better journalist." Find the recording below.

We will continue collaborating with OpenNews and The Online News Association, who are our partners in Vision25: Building Racial Equity in Newsrooms, to develop actionable plans for creating institutions of belonging. Stay tuned for updates.

Stay positive. Test negative.

The Maynard Institute is the nation’s oldest organization dedicated to helping news media accurately portray all segments of society, particularly those often overlooked.
