WAT Camp Instructor Interest Form

Fill out this form here!

Every year, HES hosts our Winter Academic Training Camp (WAT), which helps underclassman prepare through student-taught classes! The goal of a WAT Camp instructor is to set up students for a successful semester in the classes that you will be teaching. This involves giving lectures and providing tutoring throughout the week (tentatively Jan 6-14).

Classes such as CS 61A, 61B, 61C, CS 7, E 7. EECS 16B, Math 1B, Math 54, Physics 7A, 7C and more are commonly taught! As a token of gratitude and reward for your effort to help out our community, HES will be giving a **scholarship** (amount TBD) to each WAT Camp instructor. :) Fill out the form above if you are interested!

HES DEI Team

In the efforts to change COE’s, and departments within COE, diversity, equity, and inclusion, and with the help of Marvin Lopez (Director of Student Programs), HES is forming a team to have discussions and make requests from COE. We want to increase HES’s visibility within the college and demand policies that can help increase diversity, equity, and inclusion. This includes duties such as being involved in the hiring process for the Assistant Dean of Equity and Inclusion of COE and other faculty, to creating concrete and specific plans that can support COE’s, and the departments within, Latinx and Black students. If you are interested, please email guillermo.gonzalez@berkeley.edu
