Dear <<First Name>>,

Just released and in limited quantities, this very well made wine from a classic Bordeaux blend by the Tua Rita stable; which includes Redigaffi, the first Italian wine to be awarded 100 pts by Robert Parker for the 2000 vintage.

Twenty Eighteen is widely regarded to be a great vintage.

Giusto di Notri is the baby brother of the famous Redigaffi wine that regularly receives very high scores from critics (97 ps from Wine Advocate in 2018) and trades at £100+ per bottle or more.
At a fraction of the price we also have a rare magnums of this great value wine available.

The producer’s reputation has flourished over recent years among collectors and specialists with no signs of slowing its pace – in May this year, Tua Rita was named as a “benchmark” Italian producer by Monica Larner of the Wine Advocate, one of the producers that “represent the very best of Tuscany.”

2018 was blessed with a cool autumn on the Tuscan coast that played into Tua Rita’s strengths, the characteristic concentration and intensity from their iron-rich soils refreshed with elegance and freshness that will undoubtedly prove very long-lived indeed.

This is a wine that can be drunk in the near term however, will also benefit from a year or 2 in the cellar. Monica Larner (Wine Advocate) is positively gushing about this wine just prior to bottling awarding 95-97 pts and proclaiming  "The wine is also light and fresh on the palate with a surprising degree of weightlessness, yet the persistence is long and polished."

There are only approx 2750 cases produced and UK allocations are restricted, so there will not be much around at this price which is the best on the UK market.

When in 1984 Rita and Virgilio purchased the property that was to become Tua Rita, the land and the buildings on it were only to be the setting for a life together lived in contact with nature, farming nature’s bounty. It was their overwhelming passion for making wine that changed those plans.
The couple tended the original two hectares of vineyard with such scrupulous care that Tua Rita became one of Italy’s first successful producers of vins de garage. In barely a decade, the hectares under vine had risen to nine, at the start of the new millennium there were twenty and today Tua Rita farms some thirty hectares planted to vine. Estate and cellar went from strength to strength, driven by Rita and Virgilio’s commitment. Meanwhile the winery’s image was flourishing under the skilful hand of Stefano Frascolla, husband of the owners’ daughter Simena, who herself became involved in managing the enterprise following the death of her father in 2010. The estate’s name is a simple inversion of Rita Tua’s given name and surname.

Stefano Frascolla, Proprietor

“2018 is a vintage of great structure … an important vintage”
2018 Giusto di Notri

80% Cabernet Sauvignon, 12% Cabernet Franc & 8% Merlot

A tribute to Justus, the patron saint of Val di Cornia’s capital, the town of Suvereto, and to Tua Rita’s first vineyard, which was planted at Notri. Giusto di Notri, a classic Bordeaux blend of Merlot, Cabernet Sauvignon and Cabernet Franc, is Tua Rita’s signature wine.

"One of the three benchmarks from Tua Rita. This gorgeous 2018 Giusto di Notri (tasted in a preview capacity before its October 2020 release date) was born beautiful, or so I am told. The wine saw little racking and a hands-off approach, because it came seamlessly together on its own in the winery. Merlot was harvested first in mid-September, and the Cabernets came off the vines in October, without a cloud in the sky. The wine shows the heft and determination you should expect, although this vintage reveals a magically delicate and elegant side with aromas of blue flowers, spice and wild plums. Again, I am reminded of purely Tuscan aromas with wild sage, grilled rosemary and macchia mediterranea shrubs that grow wild in these parts. The wine is also light and fresh on the palate with a surprising degree of weightlessness, yet the persistence is long and polished"

James Suckling - 96 pts

“A rich, layered red with berries, chocolate and blueberries. Lightly smoky. It’s full-bodied and layered with ripe tannins. Balanced and focused. Just a baby now, but will deliver!”
