'Virtual' Gift Wrap Party Project Daily Update #1

In a year unlike any other, isolation, loneliness and mental stamina have challenged so many... especially our seniors.

Project Update

The original list of recipients we hope to serve is at approximately 350 residents with more requests expected.
Besides individual gifts, SANEWA has committed to the purchase of three televisions and multiple antennas for use in several senior communities.
To complement many of the gifts, personal handwritten letters will be delivered to senior residents as a way to make them aware that others are thinking about them.

Meet Dave...
Dave came to us with nothing. He gave most of his career to caring for others but had no one to care for him. The home where he and other seniors were boarding was in such terrible disrepair that it was condemned after the seniors were removed.
He likes coffee, but he doesn’t have a coffee pot, so he has to drink instant coffee. He has nothing in his room that says he lives there. He has no special mementos. He loves mystery books and is always looking for one in our lending library he hasn’t already read. He loves to have snacks in his apartment, but being on Medicaid, he has very little money each month with which to buy those kinds of things.

Here's How You Can Help!

1) Please connect with Event Organizer, Leslie Luedtke and pledge your Gift Donations.

2) Deliver your gifts to the Love In Home office at 1520 W. Garland Ave, Ste D. by Friday, Dec. 18th. Gifts must be WRAPPED and have a tag identifying if the gift is for a MALE, FEMALE or EITHER.

3) On Monday, December 21st, the gifts will be distributed to the participating communities and their residents. Word on the street is, SANTA will be making an appearance! 🎅
