Our Fabulous Family,

The air is getting crisp, online ads are touting big sales, and we recently stayed in to watch scary movies and ate too much candy, which can only mean one thing: the holidays are upon us (and here we thought it was still March!). And while some of us are sad that we aren't/shouldn't be seeing family this holiday season, others are definitely glad for the 'Get Out of Jail Free' card. No matter your holidays plans, we hope that you stay safe and healthy.

We wish we could spend this time with you, but there are definitely ways that you can make your presence felt.
LCTC was extremely lucky that we were between productions when the pandemic began because that meant we didn't have to eat any production costs on a show that never happened. We are preparing to hit the ground running as soon as the powers that be say "GO!" But putting on theatre means spending money, and this is where we need your help. To get ahead of the inevitable costs, we're asking our incredible family to help make sure we come back strong. There are several ways to support Left Coast so that we can hit the ground running when theatre opens again, so keep scrolling for details. We also have a recommendation for some theatre that might help make your holiday season a little brighter.

Shopping With Left Coast
We know you know that we have published three of our anthologies and that you can buy them to enjoy whenever you want. We also know that the holiday season will look a lot different this year, and we could all use some comforting LOL's, a few heartwarming tales, and maybe a "WTF?" or two! We also also know that you see where we're going with this. Our anthologies make the perfect gift for theatre-loving friends and family. And, hey, get a copy for yourself! It's 2020 and the rules don't matter anymore.
Our newest anthology, #WTFamily, might actually make you thankful that your family isn't like any of these families!

Another way you can shop with us is with Amazon Smile. Yes, we should all be shopping locally this year to support the businesses and members of our community. But just in case you can't resist an Amazon deal, or if you forget that you're suddenly shipping everything this year and need that 2-day shipping, you can still support Left Coast while getting that sleeping bag that looks like a slice of pizza for your nieces and nephews. All you have to do is go to smile.amazon.com and select Left Coast Theatre as your charity. Just remember to go to smile.amazon.com every time you shop, and a percentage of your purchase goes straight (so to speak) to LCTC.

Donating to Left Coast
If shopping isn't your thing (or you're hand-making all of your gifts this year like some kind of overachiever), and you still want to help support Left Coast, then you're in luck! You can still support Left Coast for Giving Tuesday!

December 1st is Giving Tuesday, a global movement to encourage people to do good and support charitable organizations. Left Coast Theatre is a 501(c)3 non profit organization, and is therefore able to partake in this wonderful day. If you are able to donate, please consider giving us a little love.

Some Queer Holiday Cheer

Taylor Mac's Holiday Sauce....PANDEMIC!
From our Friends at The Curran:
Start the season right with a ticket to a holiday show the way it was always meant to be experienced - with a twist. Taylor Mac’s HOLIDAY SAUCE… PANDEMIC! makes its SF premiere on December 12 at 7pm.

Conceived as a virtual vaudeville, HOLIDAY SAUCE… PANDEMIC! blends music, film, burlesque, and random acts of fabulousness into 40 minutes of saucy seasonal fare.
Taylor Mac will be joined by a spectacular band and surprise special guests to give you a pandemic re-framing of the songs you love and the holidays you hate. After the smash-success of Taylor Mac’s renowned Curran productions of A 24-DECADE HISTORY OF POPULAR MUSIC and HOLIDAY SAUCE, this latest installment of the artist’s 24-DECADE project is Mac's fourth collaboration with us.
Tickets are $10. Grab yours now and get ready to celebrate with your chosen family near and far.

100% of Curran's proceeds from ticket purchases will be donated to OPENHOUSE, whose mission is to help enable San Francisco LGBTQ+ seniors and older adults to overcome the unique challenges they face as they age by providing housing, direct services, and community building programs.
