Village Weekly

Each week we’re sharing an encouraging example of the impact we’re making together. “A new command I give you: Love one another. As I have loved you, so you must love one another. By this everyone will know that you are my disciples, if you love one another.” (John 13:34-35.)

Because of you, Village is able to reach out and support our elderly or homebound members who thrive on being loved, valued, and encouraged in their sense of purpose in life. We have a trained, volunteer team of about twenty people who regularly visit, call, and provide support to these people in our Village family.

Recently, one of our elderly needed to have a support team formed because her family members live in another country. Immediately, several Villagers stepped forward to provide transportation, accompany her to doctor appointments, and make weekly visits to assure her needs are met. Because of your generosity, we are able to turn your gifts into practical, hands-on care at Village and have helped dozens of other families in similar ways this year.

We thank you for helping us be the hands and feet of Jesus. Your gifts enable us to love Jesus extravagantly in 2020, by loving one another together as a family.

Watch the short video below for a glimpse of what is envisioned for ministry in 2021. To make this possible, we invite you to give generously between now and Dec. 31. We have two goals. If we end the year with $2.7M in giving, we’ll be in a position to pursue these opportunities. Any amount helps! And if 400 households participate each month, we believe our giving goal will be achieved.

 

Beginning January 12, 2021.
A weaving together of English speaking women from various cultures and life stages. Meeting every other Tuesday evening 7-8:30 pm via Zoom, we discuss Scripture and focus on how God is speaking into our lives through it. Our mission outreach varies as we become aware of opportunities to bless others both locally and overseas.

The Lead Pastor Search Committee has been meeting and working on our search process next steps. Knowing how our congregation is feeling is a key step. Stay tuned for a brief, all church survey in the coming weeks.
