How You Can Help

It’s that time of year, again! The Gaudenzia Christmas Stocking Ministry needs your help! The Gaudenzia homes we assist are shelters in Philadelphia that house women with drug and alcohol addictions and their children. They provide shelter, treatment, and assistance with life skills, including parenting classes. Many of the families come from very limited means and all those living at Gaudenzia are in need of assistance this Christmas season.

This year, due to the pandemic, we are running things a little bit differently, however, there are still many ways for you to be involved and help!

Purchase a gift for a mother or child from a wish list
Purchase stocking stuffers from a wish list
Make a monetary donation towards Christmas Breakfast or a general donation for house needs
Help deliver the gifts and sing Christmas Carols outside
Pray for the families

Additional Gift & Dropoff Information

This year, we will not have the Christmas wrapping event at Bethany. Instead, we are asking that you please wrap and label every gift that you purchase and drop it off at Bethany on or before December 20th. We are doing a “contactless" drop-off, so please look for the large brown outdoor storage box placed near the door of the church on the Concord Ave side. The code to the lock is 2014. Please unlock, place your gift in and relock by rolling the numbers.

Please make sure to drop off your items already wrapped and clearly marked with a removable tag stating the assigned number of the mother or child and what is inside the wrapping.

If you are interested in delivering the gifts and caroling outside these homes with us this year, please contact us at the e-mail provided below or through the church office.
