Opinion

Hello <<First Name>>,

Joe HydeWhat happened to the kraken?

As most of you heard, the Trump election legal team announced on Sunday to the world that attorney Sidney Powell, General Michael Flynn’s lawyer, is not associated with the Trump legal team nor is she representing President Trump personally. This past weekend, Powell was on Newsmax promising to unleash an additional kraken on the Georgia governor and Georgia secretary of state, both Republicans, for accepting (shall we say) gifts when Dominion was pitching the state to sell officials there over $100 million in new voting equipment and software. Georgia purchased the Dominion system. The “kraken” are supported accusations about how the election was rigged against Trump that attorney Sidney Powell promised.

Declaring war on the top Republicans in Georgia may have been a bridge too far for the Trump legal eagles. And, as one attorney suggested, even Rudy Giuliani understands libel and slander. Dominion can make a great libel and slander case. What county judge or secretary of state in any remaining state is going to consider buying from Dominion now? How many deals will Dominion lose in its sales pipeline? All of them! There’s financial damage for sure, a prerequisite for successful libel or slander lawsuits.

release the kraken

As I said from the onset, the Trump legal effort on this election has all the ingredients for an outstanding Netflix series. The accusation that the election was rigged by a cabal of international globalists, CHICOMS, and other bad actors is too large a plot to prove (as of yet). Releasing Powell, who was holding tight to her yet-to-be-released kraken, is a major backtrack for the Trump team and it makes them appear foolish. Giuliani and company have transformed themselves from a self-proclaimed “elite legal team” into Seal Team Sucks.

The legal options for Seal Team Sucks are dwindling, and have dwindled so much that Biden is your next president. I’m not giving up on proving the election was dishonest, though.

Trump lawyer Rudy Giuliani on Lou Dobbs Monday said the reason he broke with Powell was because he wants to pursue a different strategy. The current Trump legal argument is that a massive ballot fraud violated Donald Trump’s Constitutional rights through the misconduct of election officials in several states. He promised up to six lawsuits will be filed. At the heart of the president’s legal fight are millions of absentee ballots.

“They (Democrats) always cheated somewhat with absentee ballots. But, for example, they only had 450,000 absentee ballots four years ago in Pennsylvania. This time they had 2.6 million. That’s like, you know, that’s like letting a couple of thieves free all night in Tiffany,” he said.

Vegas odds are less than 5 percent chance. However, if we want honest elections, this challenge needs to continue.

Then there is Georgia attorney Lin Wood’s lawsuit filed on behalf of himself and the people of Georgia against the Georgia secretary of state that claims there was not equal protection between Georgia mail-in voters and those who voted in person during the election. Wood claims his lawsuit is alive and well. Here’s his interview.

“At some point in time there is going to have to be a criminal investigation into who received money before the Dominion machines were sold to the State of Georgia,” he claims.

Many are giving in to the “produce the evidence” manta from the left. Even some Republicans are quitting supporting an investigation of a dishonest election ceding the fight. I believe many are so far in the weeds that few see the larger picture. When looking at the dishonest election question from a higher level, there remain credible red flags. With a hat tip to J.B. Shurk at The Federalist, below are reasons no Republican should give up yet:

  1. 80 million votes. No incumbent president has gained votes over his election four years earlier. Trump attracted 10 million votes more than he had in 2016 and still lost.
  2. Biden won the election after losing Florida and Ohio. He lost Florida by more than 3 percent and Ohio by 7 points. Polling showed Biden winning both states pre-election.
  3. Biden had fewer votes than Hillary Clinton in 2016 except in Milwaukee, Detroit, Atlanta, and Philadelphia.
  4. Trump had coattails but lost. 27 House seats were deemed toss-ups by polls prior to election night yet all 27 were won by Republicans. No state house chambers were flipped from R to D either.
  5. Trump has record high Republican support. No Republican incumbent has won re-election with less than 75 percent of the total votes during the Republican primaries. Trump won 94 percent of the vote where a record 18 million Republicans turned out. The previous record for turnout for an incumbent’s primary was Bill Clinton in the ’96 Democratic Party primary, with less than 9 million ballots cast.

  6. This is a summary. More details are at The Federalist.

Hanging in the balance is the runoff election for two Georgia U.S. Senate seats. Georgia plans to offer mail-in ballots to any legal voter anyone who asks starting Dec. 7. Early voting begins Dec. 14. Election Day is Jan. 5, 2021.

With a nod to what happened Nov. 3, if there is no accountability for the massive number of mail-in votes that I anticipate will happen again, Republicans can kiss control of the U.S. Senate goodbye and welcome Chuck Schumer as the next majority leader, along with whatever baggage that entails — a packed Supreme Court, statehood for DC and Puerto Rico, mass amnesty, open borders, gun laws and restrictions, and making free speech illegal.

I’m still pulling for Seal Team Sucks.

Just ONCE I would like to see you “Orangeman bad” people give Trump credit for Operation Warp Speed which was responsible for producing a coronavirus vaccine in an unprecedented amount of time!

Pray tell...
Blanco9, Fri, 11/20/2020 - 17:52

How exactly is Biden “moving forward” on the coronavirus? And be specific everything from Biden  (aside from lockdowns and unconstitutional mask mandates which he recently backed off from) is already being, or has already been done Trump.

Wrong...

What Trump said was to go to the Sec. of State website and check if your mail in vote has been recorded...if not then go and place your vote in person.

It’s not a personality contest! If that’s the case crooked Biden and that laughing hyena of a VP pick of his don’t fare very well either. It’s about Trump’s America First agenda versus the world Apology Tour 2.0 you’re going to get from the demo libs.

Let me help
Blanco9, Fri, 11/20/2020 - 15:03

The reason(s) so many people voted for Trump...

3 Nobel Peace Prize nominations because of his work in the Middle East.

More Americans employed than ever before in our history.

Lowest unemployment rate among blacks, hispanics, asians, women and youth ever recorded.

Veteran unemployment rate lowest in nearly 20 years.

Opportunity zones for the purpose of creating inner city jobs.

Lowest marginal tax rate for small business in over 80 years.

VA Choice healthcare for veterans.

Operation Warp Speed’s creation of a covid vaccine in unprecedented amount of time.

The list goes on and on! But hey I get it. It’s not about Trump’s accomplishments for you. It’s about you getting your panties all in a wad over his tweets.

Biden won the election Fair and Square
Will Jonson, Thu, 11/19/2020 - 19:50

Gee how it is that so many people voted for Biden considering what a poor example of a human being the orange petulant child. The Trump campaign has filed numerous frivolous lawsuits alleging election fraud and all have been thrown (laughed) out of court. Speaking of frivolous lawsuits I recall republicans being solidly against such lawsuits. I suppose that is only when they are the defendant. People voting fopr president only is totally and the voters own business why they did so. Elections have consequences and it makes no difference what you cons like or dislike about what Biden does, you can vote against next election and scream and whine until then. Move ON.

Yes exactly what is the fear
Will Jonson, Thu, 11/19/2020 - 19:32

Exactly what what was it that team Trump about calling witnesses during his impeachment trial. It is really simple, the voters did what the coward GOP sinate failed to do, they removed Trump from office and his trash talking mouth is going with him. Right now he is cowered down somewhere afraid of 01/20/2021 like a convict on death row knowing it is his execution date. The only thing I question is how Trump got as many votes as he did. I find it hilarious  that Trump campaign when Trump was telling republicans to vote twice https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=jpeg-ABB-58, For a guy to whine about fraud when in fact he was instigating fraud is preposterous..

Will Jonson, Thu, 11/19/2020 - 19:09

Trump has set in the oval office for four years and fibbing everyday of those years. Good riddance to reeking rubbish.

Restrictions based on…
The Fisherman, Thu, 11/19/2020 - 19:03

Restrictions based on executive orders have no legal authority under the Constitution. They are not true law. Laws are debated and passed by state legislatures, not by state governors. Executive orders only apply to state employees and have no bearing on the citizenry. State governors do not get to proclaim a national emergency based on their personal opinion and then declare themselves dictators in response. Any “laws” exerted because of such a process are therefor null and void; they are meaningless.

The lockdowns, shutdowns, and mask orders are a stepping stone to something much worse – Medical tyranny and centralization on an unprecedented scale.

Do not follow such rules. They are not scientifically or morally sound. They are nonsense designed to frighten the public into complacency and consent. Do not become acclimated to governmental intrusion in your everyday lives, and dont get used to the idea of bureaucracy telling you what you are not allowed to do. We do not have to constantly ask for permission. Do not become slaves to the Covid response.

Re: Covid Cops
Cheryl Arcemont, Thu, 11/19/2020 - 17:17

Obviously, you have not been to Walmart prior to the "Covid Cops!" This extreme was necessary because the lack of wearing masks (properly) and maintaining social distances. It has been reported over and over but apparently some of the employees and many of the customers think the Walmart is protection itself and no need to worry about getting the virus. And now we are in the situation where the state may step in and start closing businesses. All because of the group of "you're taking away my rights" has pushed the spread of this virus to include worries of the health departments of more stress than they already are struggling with now!

You feel like this is prison like. Apparently you have lived a very sheltered life. You don't want intervention but want to cry when the numbers of sick and dying increase beyond the capacities of our hospitals and clinics! Shame on you!

I was there yesterday...

I saw nothing like this. Just the normal security guard. The regular door attendant but nothing to rate this level of discomfort.

Nothing at all.

The gestapo huh?
Not Prudent, Thu, 11/19/2020 - 16:42

I figured a man of your years would have a greater understanding of history and what the gestapo actually was. I was wrong. Do yourself a favor and hit up the Holocaust museum in Dallas. It’s only $12. If you’re too afraid to travel feel free to crack open a book and read it.

So why hasn't trump released his tax returns?

Isn't it "conservatives" that tell people to follow the rules, and then you don't need to fear police? Blue lives matter, right?

Follow the rules, Yantis, and you'll have nothing to worry about because a majority of police are good, decent people. It's just a few bad apples ruining the bunch. Right?

A convicted felon being scared and intimidated by police...

I honestly can't tell if this opinion piece is satire or not.

"I was intimidated by that situation.  I was uncomfortable in that store and I will not go back until something changes."

Outstanding, that will leave more toilet paper for the rest of us.   Grow a pair, it's not the end of the world. just a minor inconvenience.

The "security guard" needs to be fired!  He was just looking at his phone and walking away!  Nice Job!

Office of the president elect

I would never go so far as to take any delight in it, since the policies Biden and the Demo libs are espousing will harm our country greatly...but at some point all you voting for a crooked, mentally challenged old fool and his obnoxious Obama clone are going to get what you deserve.

“Leaders” copping out?
james88, Thu, 11/19/2020 - 09:32

This city’s leaders can’t make hard choices. They didn’t want to make a decision (didn’t want to be blamed) so they let it come to this that way they could say “it wasn’t me I was just following orders”

You can't find a better…
Liz Jackson, Mon, 11/16/2020 - 20:09

You can't find a better bunch of guys than David, Walter and their dad. This is such a tragedy for such an amazing family that has given so much to our community in so many ways. They are always awesome in the store but gave and gave to help support fundraising for many organizations.  They are the epitome of what a true gentlemen is. David,  God Bless you and your family!
