Construction updates for the week of November 30
Please continue reading to learn about current and upcoming side street closures as well as work beginning the week of November 30. For a complete summary of the work currently happening in the corridor, please refer to our email update from last week.
Please note that we will not be working Thursday, November 26 to Sunday, November 29. Work will resume at 7 AM on Monday, November 30.

Major construction updates
Side street closures on the east side of Delridge Way SW during demolition and paving
Currently closed (timing is weather dependent and may change):
SW Alaska St (reopening date not yet determined; thank you for your patience)
SW Hudson St (reopening as early as next week)
23rd Ave SW (reopening as early as next week)
Puget Blvd SW near the Delridge P-Patch Community Gardens (through the end of roadway paving)
Closing soon (timing is weather dependent and subject to change)
SW Willow St (closing as early as November 30)
SW Brandon St (closing when SW Hudson reopens)
SW Thistle St (closing as early as December 7)
Sidewalk demolition and paving continues on the east side of Delridge Way SW between SW Andover and SW Oregon St
Please follow posted signs for detours during this work. We encourage people walking to travel on the west side of Delridge Way SW.
To cross Delridge Way SW in this area, we encourage people walking to cross at SW Alaska St, SW Genesee St, or SW Oregon St
RESCHEDULED: Vehicle detection installation in the pavement and concrete work at the intersection of SW Oregon St and Delridge Way SW begins as early as December 7
Work will last approximately one week. Delridge Way SW will remain open during this work.
Traffic will be shifted to the east side of Delridge Way SW during this work
Sidewalks in this area will be reopened to accommodate the traffic shift as part of this work
Demolition on the east side between Puget Blvd SW and SW Brandon St continues into early next week
Paving is scheduled to begin as early as December 2. Driveways will be closed until paving is complete.
We will notify residents in advance of this work occurring
Demolition on the east side between SW Brandon St and SW Findlay St to begin as early as November 30
Demolition is expected to last for approximately one week
Paving is scheduled to start as early as December 12
Pipework to resume at SW Juneau St
We will begin working near SW Juneau St again as early as December 4. This work will continue for several weeks.

Paving on the west side between SW Graham St and 22nd Ave SW continues into next week
Driveways should open the week of December 7
23rd Ave SW will also open when this work is complete
Demolition on the west side between SW Holly St and SW Willow St to begin as early as November 30
SW Willow St will be closed as part of this work beginning as early as November 30
People driving are encouraged to detour to 23rd Ave SW or SW Myrtle St
Paving is scheduled to begin in early December
Electrical work happening in the sidewalk between SW Orchard St and 21st Ave SW
We are currently demolishing sidewalks in this area to install and upgrade electrical utilities on the east side of Delridge Way SW
Paving is scheduled to begin in early December. Sidewalks are scheduled to reopen in mid-December.
People walking are encouraged to cross Delridge Way SW at SW Holden St or SW Orchard St. Please follow posted signage.
Side street closures during demolition and paving As we move along the corridor, there will be instances when we will need to demolish and rebuild the roadway in front of side streets. During this time, you can expect no access to or from Delridge Way SW. We will notify residents if there are any anticipated restrictions to specific properties.
NOTICE: Parking restrictions during side street closures and construction
While we complete this work, please continue parking in designated parking spots along the street or in personal driveways if applicable. People who park their vehicles near No Parking signs (temporary or permanent), in the right-of-way near road closure signs, or near driveway and alley entrances are subject to ticketing or towing. This includes parking on narrow streets such as SW Edmunds St, Cottage Pl SW, and 22nd Ave SW near Longfellow Creek.
Safety is our top priority and we need to maintain access to neighborhoods for emergency vehicles.
REMINDER: Businesses along the corridor are open during this work. Please follow posted detour signs as you visit these businesses.

As part of this project, we will be upgrading the roadway throughout the corridor. The roadway above has been partially demolished and is getting prepared for paving. Before paving, you can expect steel plates to be placed to provide access to your property when work is not occurring. Tarps will be placed if wet weather is in the forecast.

At the City of Seattle, we are continuing to follow guidance from federal, state, and local leaders and our public health partners regarding COVID-19.
